Jen Chun Chiu had started well by cracking aces for a full double in the first level but from there on, nothing much went his way. Eventually, the player from Taiwan was whittled down to the starting stack and took on Rasid Paitao.
On a A♦K♠10♦ flop, Chiu bet 2,500 into 9,000 and was called before he check-called for 8,400 on the A♣ turn. The 5♠ river saw the shove of Chiu with the A♠8♦ and Paitao called him down with A♥J♠ for the superior kicker.
