Rocco Gets Called

Level 14 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

After a check from Marius Gierse, Michael Rocco then moved all in on the heads-up river of {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

This move sent Gierse into the tank, and after using three of his time banks he made the call, putting himself at risk. Gierse tabled {q-Spades}{k-Hearts} for top pair but Rocco then flipped over {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for a set of queens to win the hand.

Gierse made his way to the exit as Rocco was pushed the large pot to boost his stack to almost 600,000.

Yau Leads Into Chidwick

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Ethan Yau
Ethan Yau

In a three-way pot on a board of {8-Spades}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}, Elio Fox checked from the big blind and Ethan Yau checked in the cutoff before Stephen Chidwick bet 9,000 from the button. Both opponents called.

Fox checked again on the {2-Hearts} river and Yau took the opportunity to bet 14,000. Chidwick glanced over to the player seated to his immediate right and put out a stack of chips for a raise to 143,000.

Fox quickly folded and "Rampage Poker" gave it some thought before following suit.

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

Anthony Hu and big stack Justin Bonomo got all the chips in preflop, with Hu at risk.

Anthony Hu: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Justin Bonomo: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Bonomo was ahead with his hooks in this classic flip, and the board of {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Spades} was favorable to him while Hu was sent to the rail. With this pot, Bonomo is now the new chip leader with 650,000.

Grafton Doubles Through Rocco

Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sam Grafton open-jammed a stack of 35,000 in middle position and Michael Rocco called in the big blind with a bigger stack.

Sam Grafton: {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Michael Rocco: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} to give Grafton a big lead and his hand only improved on the {7-Hearts}{k-Clubs} runout.

"I folded king-queen," said Jean-Noel Thorel from the button.

"I'm glad!" laughed Grafton.
