Martirosian Rivers Queens

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

In a limped pot to the {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, Christoph Csik checked in the small blind and Artur Martirosian did the same from the big blind. The {6-Spades} turn also checked through to the {q-Spades} river.

Csik, with {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}, checked for a third time, and Martirosian with {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, now with a pair of queens, bet 200,000.

Csik thought about making the king-high hero call, which has been tried a few times today to no avail. However, Csik thought better of it and folded.

The popular BSOP made an appearance at the PCA with the BSOP Bahamas Main Event. That was won by Canada’s Allan Barnes after he defeated Vicente Delgado in heads-up play.

This is the first win for Barnes, and a long time coming after a few deep runs in the Bahamas.

“First of all, me and my wife absolutely love The Bahamas," he told PokerNews in a winner's interview. "It feels very, very good. It’s a monkey off my back.

"I’ve had some cashes down here and I’ve gone deep in some tournaments where I busted out before it really got exciting. This one here is a nice victory.”

Raymond Takes From Martirosian

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Artur Martirosian opened to 160,000 on the button with {j-Spades}{10-Spades}. Alexandre Raymond defended in the big blind with {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

On the {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} flop, Raymond check-called for 240,000 and then on the {5-Diamonds} turn he led for 285,000 and was called.

The {5-Hearts} river checked through and Raymond won the pot with his two pair.

Raymond Pays Off Csik

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Christoph Csik
Christoph Csik

Alexandre Raymond opened to 165,000 with the {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} in the hijack and he was called by Christoph Csik in the big blind, who had the {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. The {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop gave Csik the lead and he checked, Raymond then bet 110,000. Csik only flat-called and locked up the hand on the {k-Spades} turn as he improved to trips.

Csik checked once more and Raymond now checked it back to have a piece of it with the {10-Diamonds} river. That triggered a bet of 650,000 by Csik and Raymond reluctantly called to get shown the bad news.

Two in a Row for Martirosian

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Pedro Neves made it 160,000 to go with the {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and then folded when Artur Martirosian three-bet to 480,000 with {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} on the button.

Michel Dattani then opened to 160,000 as the first player to act with {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. Martirosian flat-called in the cutoff with {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} as they headed to the {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop, on which the Russian hit middle set. Dattani checked and sent his cards into the muck after facing a 120,000 bet.

Martirosian Pulls Ahead of Neves and Dattani

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Artur Martirosian
Artur Martirosian

Artur Martirosian raised it up to 180,000 with the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Pedro Neves defended the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} out of the big blind. The {j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop was checked to the Russian and he bet for the win.

The very next hand saw Martirosian open to 180,000 with the {a-Spades}{j-Spades} from under the gun and this time, Michel Dattani came along on the button with {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, three-betting to 540,000. Martirosian was in no mood of folding and they headed to the {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, which gave the Russian the nut flush draw.

Martirosian check-called a bet worth 480,000 and a pot of 2,080,000 emerged to the {a-Hearts} turn, on which Dattani checked behind. Fast forward to the {k-Hearts} river, Martirosian bet 1,450,000 and Dattani snap-folded before he was even given the bet sizing.

Raymond Chips Up

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Christoph Csik opened to {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} from early position and Alexandre Raymond called from the button with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Csik missed the {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop and Raymond still had the best hand. The preflop raiser continued for 150,000 and was called.

The {2-Spades} turn kept the pocket pair ahead and Csik slowed down with a check. Raymond fired for 330,000. Csik folded and the pot went to the Canadian.

Alexandros Kolonias Eliminated in 7th Place ($236,500)

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Alexandros Kolonias
Alexandros Kolonias

Alexandros Kolonias moved all in from the hijack for 735,000 and Pedro Neves called from the big blind.

Alexandros Kolonias: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Pedro Neves: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Kolonias was on the right side of domination until Neves paired up on the {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop to take the lead. The {4-Hearts} turn changed nothing and the {10-Diamonds} river marked the end of Kolonias' deep run.
