Boeken Eliminated by Magnus

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Gary Hasson limped from the hijack. Joseph Cheong, on the cutoff, raised to 1,500. Nadya Magnus, on the button, three-bet to 4,000. Noah Boeken, in the small blind, four-bet to 11,900. Hasson and Cheong folded. Magnus called.

A flop reading {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs} was dealt. Boeken bet 10,000. Magnus responded by moving all in for around 17,000. Boeken called, putting at risk his last chips.

Nadya Magnus: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Noah Boeken: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {3-Hearts} turn and {q-Clubs} river completed the board and Boeken was eliminated.

Graham Sends Dicriso To the Rail

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Vittorio Dicriso was two-outered very early on and his fortune didn't change much after that, in fact, he just bowed out in set-under-set fashion when he got it in with pocket fives against the {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} of Luke Graham. They got it in after the {K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, and the {4-Diamonds} turn and {A-Spades} river were both blanks.

Roberts Eliminated by Sow

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Kalidou Sow
Kalidou Sow

A big pot was brewing over on table one, filled with notables from all over the world, and it was Lauren Roberts in the big blind that moved all in for 13,900 on the {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} turn. Kalidou Sow snap-called and the cards were tabled.

Lauren Roberts: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Kalidou Sow: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The {4-Spades} river further improved Sow to a full house and Roberts said "Only a full house, nice hand. I was hoping for ace-jack."

Koray Aldemir said "good game Lauren" in table chat and Sow, who sat down not long ago, immediately doubled his stack. In French, Sow explained after that his raise from early position was called four-ways and Roberts three-bet, which just Sow called. Roberts bet the flop for 12,000 and jammed the turn.

Mosley Gets a Fold From Ditz

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Franz Ditz opened to 500 under the gun. Dominique Mosley, from one seat over, called, along with the player in the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} that was checked through to the {10-Spades} turn. The big blind checked. Ditz bet 600. Mosley raised to 2,000. The big blind folded. Ditz added the remainder to call.

The {8-Hearts} river filled up the board. Ditz checked. Mosley threw in a bet of 5,000. His opponent went deep into the tank, but proceeded to give up his hand.

Elliot Smith and Romain Lewis
Elliot Smith and Romain Lewis

A raise to 1,700 was in front of Elliot Smith in the cutoff and Maria Ho on the button called. Romain Lewis in the hijack reraised to more than 7,000. Smith then moved all in for 23,900, which forced out Ho and resulted in a quick call by Lewis.

Elliot Smith: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Romain Lewis: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Smith doubled, sending Lewis to fewer than one third of the starting stack.

Alvarado Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
JC Alvarado
JC Alvarado

JC Alvarado in early position and Goran Mandic in middle position created a fairly large pot of around 17,000 to the {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} turn and Alvarado bet 3,400, which Mandic called. On the {6-Hearts} river, Alvarado gave it some thought before announcing a bet of 8,000 and tossing in two T-5,000 chips.

That's all it took in order to force a fold from Mandic. Samuel Bernabeu is on the same table and Brian Yoon is one of two players that have opted to re-enter into Day 1a after having busted earlier. One table over, John Juanda has also just joined the action.
