Hemming Calls Morgan's Bluff

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Thomas Hemming
Thomas Hemming

In blind-on-blind action, Thomas Hemming bet 860,000 on the river when the board was down {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}. Start-of-day chipleader Daniel Morgan was in the big blind and raised to 2,500,000 exactly.

Hemming was visibly thrown by this raise and sighed to himself as he held a single 500,000 chip in his hand. He motioned towards calling before pulling his hand back above his head. He then grimaced his face as he dropped the chip into the middle to signal a call.

Thomas Hemming: {K-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Daniel Morgan: {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}

It was a pure bluff from Morgan and Hemming had correctly called with two pair as he moved above 13million in chips.

Williams Triples Up

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

James Williams was all in against Daniel Charlton and Ryan Mandara, but the trio enjoyed a three-way chop on a {10-}{a-}{a-}{j-}{a-} board.

Then Williams got his remaining 325,000 chips into the middle and was called by both Ryan Mandara and Chris Brice. The two active players checked down the {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} board and the cards were turned over. Brice was ahead with {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a rivered pair of fours, but Williams tripled up with {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

Mandara Doubles to Over 10 Million; Williams Left Short

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Ryan Mandara was all in for 5,560,000 from middle position and at risk against James Williams in the small blind.

Ryan Mandara: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
James Williams: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Board: {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} {5-Spades} {A-Clubs}

"Yes!" exclaimed Mandara as the ace hit the river and he survived on the unofficial final table bubble. The result leaves Williams very short in chips and likely to be all-in again in the next few hands.

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Fabrice Brandt
Fabrice Brandt

Steven Morris raised to 325,000 from under the gun. Patrice Brandt was in the big blind and three-bet to 1,325,000. Morris four-bet to 3,600,000 and the action was back on Brandt.

After a while Brandt leaned forward to take a closer look at Morris' stack.

"Show the bluff," said Brandt, "Show the bluff and I fold." He leaned in closer to Morris. "Show me that smile," he continued, "You're getting red!"

"Please play fancy once in a while," continued Brandt while Morris remained non-plussed.

"I'm all in--FUCK," said Brandt, as his shove for 12,745,000 was snap-called by Morris.

Patrice Brandt: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Steven Morris: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and Brandt was eliminated. The pair shook hands as the dealers counted out the stacks to confirm that Brandt was the eliminated player. It was close, but Morris had Brandt out-chipped by around 400,000.

"I really thought you were going red!" said Brandt.

"I was!" replied Morris, who now sits on around 26,000,000 chips.

Daniel Jackson Eliminated in 12th Place (£10,000)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

James Williams raised to 350,000 from under the gun position and Daniel Jackson three-bet in the cutoff to 1,175,000. Chris Brice was in the small blind and cold four-bet to 2,900,000. Williams got out of the way and Jackson started to think. He eventually made the call and the cards were turned on their backs.

Chris Brice: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Daniel Jackson: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Board: {3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Not for the first time in this Main Event, pocket kings ran into pocket aces for a huge pot.

Jackson, who qualified for the partypoker LIVE UK Championships Main Event via a £220 qualifier, secures his biggest live tournament result to date by cashing for £10,000.

Raj Dhiri Eliminated in 13th Place (£8,500)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

It folded to Raj Dhiri on the button and he moved all in for 1,145,000. Dhiri was the short stack at the beginning of the day, and had dwindled from the 1.9m he started the day with.

Daniel Morgan folded in the small blind and Ning Lu called in the big blind.

Raj Dhiri: {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Ning Lu: {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} with Lu emerging victorious, sending Dhiri to the rail as the first casualty of the day. He takes home £8,500 with the remaining 12 players all guaranteed at least £10,000.
