The second-most expensive tournament of the 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Russia poker festival at Sochi Casino and Resort has attracted a field of 37 entries within the first eight levels and 24 hopefuls bagged up chips in the Triton Poker High Roller. The tournament comes with a price tag of RUB3,000,000 (~$50,000) and the registration remains open for the first three levels of 45 minutes each as of 1 p.m. local time.
Leading the field into the final day is Finnish poker star Patrik Antonius, who bagged and tagged 151,700 last night. Johannes Becker aims to keep the traditional German High Roller success alive and carried over the second-biggest stack with 137,500, Igor Yaroshevskyy follows in third place with 128,300. Other notables that advanced to Day 2 were Timothy Adams (125,700), Koray Aldemir (120,000), Ivan Leow (100,200), partypoker's Philipp Gruissem (73,000), and Andrey Pateychuk (65,900).
Action resumes with blinds of 500/1,000 and a button ante of 1,000, giving all new entries up to 50 big blinds if they join or re-enter the competition in the first level of the day. Among those to be expected to take another shot are Paul Phua and Wai Kin Yong, Phil Ivey may also decide to enter towards the end of the registration period. Once the registration closes at the start of level 12, the prize pool information will be released and the tournament is scheduled to play down to a winner today.
The PokerNews live reporting team will provide all the action from the floor according to the 30-minute delay on the live stream until a champion is crowned.
