Loeser Loses One; Wins Next Hand
Manig Loeser raised to 90,000 on the button and Johannes Becker called in the big blind. On the flop, Becker checked and subsequently called a bet of 70,000 by Loeser. The turn and river were checked through and Becker showed the . "That's a lot of pairs," Loeser joked and mucked.
Loeser didn't slow down and raised to 70,000 from the cutoff the next hand, which picked up one caller in Dominik Nitsche out of the big blind. On a flop of , Nitsche check-called a bet of 70,000 and did so again for 160,000 on the turn. The river brought the third check of Nitsche and Loeser's bet of 335,000 forced a fold.
Joao Simao added some more chips to his growing stack when he check-raised the turn of a board out of the big blind. Bertrand Grospellier had bet 160,000 from under the gun and Simao's raise to 550,000 did the trick.
