Schillhabel Sends Thumann to the Rail

Level 18 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Hans Thumann
Hans Thumann

Stefan Schillhabel raised to 350,000 from under the gun and short stack Hans Thumann called from the big blind. On the {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, Thumann moved all in for what appeared to be 1.8 million and Schillhabel called.

Hans Thumann: {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Stefan Schillhabel: {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Thumann had a flush draw and one over card to Schillhabel's top pair, and the {3-Spades} turn provided some more outs for the Czech. However, the {J-Hearts} on the river was a blank and that set up the official eight-handed final table. A group picture will be taken shortly while the event is still two spots away from the money.

Becker Flushes Leonard

Level 18 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Patrick Leonard raised to 325,000 first to act and Bartlomiej Machon defended the big blind. The flop came {J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Machon checked, then folded to a bet of 200,000 by Leonard.

Leonard raised to 325,000 from the cutoff and Johannes Becker came along for the ride in the big blind. The {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop was checked by both, while Becker then bet the {5-Spades} turn for 500,000, Leonard called. The {8-Clubs} river brought no further betting action and Becker tabled the {Q-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for a flush with the queen to rake in the pot.

Lots of Raises and Folds; Schillhabel Ruling the Roost

Level 17 : 70,000/140,000, 140,000 ante

There have been quite a few raises and as many folds that have happened on the unofficial final table over the past few hands. The main person to put in the raises has been Stefan Schillhabel. He has raised from many positions but almost none of the other players have called except when Schillhabel raised to 350,000 from the button and Christoph Vogelsang called from the big blind.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}, Vogelsang check-called the 300,000 bet of Schillhabel.

The turn brought them the {4-Clubs}, Vogelsang checked again. Schillhabel now fired 750,000 over the line. Vogelsang considered his option but in the end, he opted to fold.

Vogelsang Empties the Clip

Level 17 : 70,000/140,000, 140,000 ante

Manig Loeser limped in from the small blind and Christoph Vogelsang defended the big blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Loeser checked and called a bet of 190,000 by Vogelsang before checking again the {K-Hearts} turn. Vogelsang made it 575,000 to go and Loeser came along to see the {Q-Diamonds} river.

Loeser checked the third street in a row and Vogelsang emptied the clip by moving all in for 1.595 million. While Loeser asked for a count and tanked for more than two minutes, no call would follow and Vogelsang claimed the pot without showdown.

Unofficial Final Table Reached After Gruissem's Bust Out

Level 16 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Philipp Gruissem
Philipp Gruissem

Philipp Gruissem shoved all in from the cutoff for 2,550,000. Nial Farrell, in the small blind, asked for a count. The dealer and Gruissem himself confirmed the amount. Farrell called after having thought about it for a minute.

Niall Farrell: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Philipp Gruissem: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} - no help for Gruissem as he has been eliminated in tenth place. The remaining players will be redrawn to the unofficial final table.

Vogelsang Under Pressure; Schillhabel Pulls Away

Level 16 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Stefan Schillhabel raised to 265,000 and Christoph Vogelsang called in the small blind. On the {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop both players checked and Vogelsang also checked the {8-Spades} turn, which prompted Schillhabel to bet 450,000. Vogelsang called and checked again the {J-Clubs} river. A bet of 1.25 million by Schillhabel followed and Vogelsang reluctantly called to get shown the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a full house.

Niall Farrell got some chips back off Bartlomiej Machon when the latter called a bet of 225,000 on the {A-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades} river and mucked to the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} of Farrell.

Vogelsang got some chips back from Johannes Becker with {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs} versus {J-Diamonds}{4-Spades} with a single bet on the board of {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} before the two would clash again. Vogelsang raised to 255,000 from the cutoff and was called by Becker and Schillhabel in the blinds. The {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop was checked through and Becker bet the {5-Hearts} turn for 600,000, Schillhabel folded and Vogelsang called. The {Q-Clubs} river ended without any betting action and Becker won the pot with {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.
