Simao Enters the Field

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Yesterday's runner-up and partypoker ambassador Joao Simao showed up with a ticket in his hand one minute before the end of the third level and will be in action once the cards are back in the air for the first 10-minute break of the day.

Timothy Adams raised to 27,000 and Steve O'Dwyer three-bet from the cutoff to 88,000. Adams glanced at the stack of the Irishman and called, but both players ended up checking down the board {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} entirely. Adams flashed a queen, but could not beat the {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} of O'Dwyer.

"I Should Have Stayed in Bed"

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The promise of Leon Tsoukernik to make his table softer promptly saw him lose the entire stack to Johannes Becker and he then re-entered and got the same table, but different seat.

Steve O'Dwyer may have to re-enter toon as well after seeing his stack cut in half early into the day. In a recent hand he opened to 28,000 and picked iup calls from Mikalai Vaskaboinikau and Julian Thomas. Timothy Adams squeezed to 125,000 on the button and O'Dwyer was the only caller. On the {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop, O'Dwyer checked and a bet of 100,000 by Adams did the trick.

Thomas was down to around 400,000 after folding preflop in that hand and soon after lost the remainder of his stack to Jean-Noel Thorel, leaving the table with the words "I should have stayed in bed."

Zhang Takes it on the Turn

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier raised from under the gun and picked up two callers in Chi Zhang on the button and Julian Thomas in the big blind. The flop of {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds} was checked to Grospellier and he bet 33,000, Zhang called and Thomas folded. After the {2-Diamonds} turn, Grospellier slowed down with a check and folded when Zhang made it 50,000 to go.

Tsoukernik Enters; Schillhabel Adds Some More

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

"We have to make the table softer," Leon Tsoukernik said with a smile on the face and engaged in table chat with Felipe Ramos right after. Right at that time, Stefan Schillhabel raised to 36,000 on the button and Johannes Becker three-bet out of the small blind to 125,000. Schillhabel glanced over at the stack of his fellow countryman and called.

On the {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, Becker bet 90,000 and Schillhabel called. The {6-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Becker checked, Schillhabel made it 225,000 to go and that shut down all further action.

Fast On the Way Back Up

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Dietrich Fast raised from the cutoff and was called by Christian Christner (button) and Steffen Sontheimer (small blind).

They all checked through the {4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} on the flop to the {6-Hearts} on the turn. Sontheimer bet 35,000, Fast called and Christner folded.

The river completed the board with the {9-Diamonds} on which they both checked again. Sontheimer showed {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to play the two pair on the board with the ten-kicker. But Fast had the better hand with the {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} as he could use his ace as the kicker to win the pot.

Becker Takes from Nitsche

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds the turn showed a board of {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and there were already 110,000 in the middle. Johannes Becker bet 120,000 and Dominik Nitsche from one seat over in the big blind called. Becker then bet the {J-Diamonds} river for 300,000 and Nitsche called to get shown {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for top two pair by Becker, which was enough to rake in a decent pot.

Adams Keeps Adding to His Stack

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Chi Zhang raised to 22,000 from the hijack and was called by Timothy Adams and Jean-Noel Thorel in the blinds.

The flop came {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{6-Clubs}, both Adams and Thorel checked, Zhang continued with a bet of 28,000, Adams called and Thorel folded.

The turn brought them the {7-Hearts}, Zhang bet again but this time he bet 140,000 and Adams called again.

They both checked on the {10-Diamonds} on the river, Adams tabled {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for two pair, aces and tens. Zhang quickly mucked his own hand.

Vaskaboinikau Enters

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau is no stranger to High Roller tournaments and his two biggest results come from events with a buy-in of more than €10,000. The Belorussian has entered the competition just now while Stefan Schillhabel and Jean-Noel Thorel were able to boost their stacks early on at the expense of Steve O'Dwyer and Patrick Leonard.
