Paraskevas Tsokaridis opened to 80,000 and Daniel Carter called from two seats over on the button. On the flop, Tsokaridis continued for 120,000 and Carter called before the turn was checked to the Brit. Carter now made it 320,000 to go and received the call before the river saw another check and a hefty bet worth 700,000 by Carter.
Tsokaridis eventually called and then tapped the table in defeat when Carter flashed for a set as winning hand.
Jack Hardcastle on the same table is also thriving and Dylan Honeyman arrived at his new table and was straight in the big blind. Mustapha Kanit raised to 85,000 and was called two ways. Honeyman then three-bet to 340,000 and that shut down all further action.
Oscar Serradell raised it up to 60,000 preflop and called when Norway's Johnny Lodden shipped it in for 440,000 total. Serradell held the which statistically speaking was barely edging out the of Johnny Lodden.
The flop made Serradell an even bigger favorite, and by the turn he had so many outs, that it was still virtually a coinflip with just one card to come.
The river completed the flush for Serradell, and Lodden made his way out of the Marquee, that still hosts a number of the 220 remaining players.
Martin Kabrhel is no longer on the table full of big names and Christian Nilles as well as Stefan Schillhabel also lost most of their chips, while Igor Kurganov more than doubled.
And then there was Stephen Chidwick, who just took a big pot off Dimitar Yosifov to build his stack. Yosifov limped in and Chidwick raised to 105,000 in the bib blind, which Yosifov called. On the flop, both checked and the fell on the turn. Yosifov led for 150,000 and was called before firing another 225,000 on the river.
Chidwick moved all in and Yosifov folded with around 600,000 behind.
After a raise by the player in under the gun, Vicente Deldago called on the button and Fahd Bennani Smires defended the big blind. On the flop, the action checked to Delgado and he bet 75,000, which Bennani Smires then check-raised to 225,000. The player under the gun folded and Delgado called.
The turn was checked and Bennani Smires then shoved the river. It was a bad timing for the Moroccan to bluff with , as Delgado had flopped a set and rivered a full house with to double up.
Christoffer Stahle raised to 65,000 from under the gun and Michal Danka called, as did Sohnke Jahn on the button. Bryan Ruiter then moved all in for 357,000 out of the big blind and Stahle called, Danka and Jahn folded.
A massive pot of more than 1.7m was brewing between Iaron Lightbourne in the cutoff and Philip Hepburn in the big blind, the board was showing . Hepburn checked and Lightbourne moved all in, his stack was counted and the shove was for 1,509,500.
Hepburn ultimately called and then sighed when he spotted the cards of his opponent.
Iaron Lightbourne:
Philip Hepburn:
The on the river was a brick and Hepburn lost a big chunk of his stack. Two years ago, Lightbourne won the £2,200 WPT Nottingham Main Event here in the Dusk Till Dawn for a career-best score of £200,000 and the Brit is looking for an even bigger payday in this week.
Among those to bust out lately were Joris Ruys, Simon Higgins, Jonathan Slater and Usman Siddique. More than half the field has already been eliminated and among the 479 entries for 1e thus far, there were 34 players that opted to re-enter.
German Anton Morgenstern got his last chips in with only to be looked up by . The flop didn't help his cause, neither did the turn nor river.
Ultimately Morgenstern did gain some chips on the all-in, exactly one million as a matter of fact. He got them in the cashier, and they cost him £5,300.
235 players are still going at it here at Dusk Till Dawn Nottingham.
