Down to 72 Players

Level 18 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Camilla Reventlow
Camilla Reventlow

There are just 72 players remaining as Martin Joseph Kus, Koen de Weerd, Simon Trumper and Camilla Reventlow have been eliminated.

Reventlow was all in with ace-queen and Josef Snejberg looked her up with {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}. The board came {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Reventlow was drawing dead on the turn already.

Philipp Zukernik was more fortunate in a flip against Ivo Donev. All in for just 1,300,000, Zukernik flipped with {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} versus {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and was down to two outs after the {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. The {4-Diamonds} turn was a blank, but the {5-Diamonds} river came to the rescue. Donev let out a loud "nooo" and paid off the Canadian.

De Meulder Doubles and Busts Wahlers

Level 18 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Matthias De Meulder
Matthias De Meulder

A short-stacked Fabian Wahlers was all in for 1,500,000 and Marko Simic called in the cutoff. Out of the small blind, Matthias De Meulder reshoved and the action was back on Simic, who immediately sighed. "How much?" he asked and De Meulder's stack was counted to be for 3,875,000 in total. Simic eventually called to put two players at risk.

Fabian Wahlers: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Matthias De Meulder: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Marko Simic: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The flop of {J-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} improved Wahlers, while Simic said "it's okay," the bigger side pot was still in his favor. De Meulder asked for an ace once the {7-Spades} appeared on the turn and Wahlers requested a queen. One wish was granted, as the {A-Diamonds} river improved De Meulder to the best hand and eliminate Wahlers. "Every tournament," Simic sighed even more, having forfeited almost half of his stack.

Philipp Gruissem Lacks Heart As Sandro Pitzanti Shoves

Level 18 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Philipp Gruissem
Philipp Gruissem

Sandro Pitzanti opened the action from the cut-off for 350,000 and Philipp Gruissem called from the small blind. Action was Andreas Aulike and he gave Pitzanti a grin and started to say something but was reminded that he wasn’t allowed to talk in that spot. Aulike was had survived an all in earlier but was still short and he decided to fold and look for a better spot.

It was heads-up to a flop of {3-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Gruissem check-called a 450,000 bet from Pitzanti.

The turn was the {q-Hearts} and Gruissem checked again. Pitzanti moved all in and Gruissem gave a lopsided smile, folded and tapped the table to acknowledge the move.

“You have a heart?” Pitzanti wanted to know?

Gruissem shook his head, “I thought I did.”
