Plan B for Karlic

Level 3 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Gerald Karlic was all in the very next hand from the small blind after a raise by Gerhard Cit and a call by Kadir Uzunoglu. Both called the shove of Karlic and the duo checked the {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop. After the {5-Diamonds} turn, Cit bet 55,000 and Uzunoglu called, then Cit checked the {2-Hearts} river.

Uzunoglu bet 300,000 to force a fold and Karlic turned over {K-Clubs}{J-Spades} for king high. Uzunoglu had {Q-Spades}{2-Spades} for a busted flush draw and rivered the deuce to improve and send Karlic packing. The Austrian however does have a stack for Day 2 from yesterday's 1b and will be back as of 3 p.m. local time.

Lukac; Nguyen and van Wesemael Join

Level 2 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Grzegorz Idziak was the first player to bust and Gerald Karlic will need a miracle, as he just arrived at his table to see the big blind forfeited with less than 75,000 left behind.

The next three new entries to start with a fresh stack were High Roller runner up Van Tiep Nguyen, Sander van Wesemael and Emil Lukac.

Level 2 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Four players went to a flop of {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Jonathan Wong led the betting for 30,000 and then faced a raise from one player to 75,000 as the other two folded. Wong called the raise.

The turn was the {j-Spades} and a check from Wong saw his opponent check behind. The river was the {3-Spades} and Wong bet 100,000 and his opponent called.

Wong showed {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and his opponent checked his cards several times before they went in the muck.

Kabrhel Takes from De Meulder

Level 2 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Matthias de Meulder raised to 8,000 in the last hand of the previous level and the player on the button called. Martin Kabrhel in the small blind three-bet and De Meulder four-bet to 85,000. That forced out the button, but Kabrhel called. Both players checked the {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop and De Meulder also checked the {9-Spades} turn. A bet of Kabrhel ended the hand right there and he bumped his stack up to more than a million.

Matthias De Meulder Buys In and Takes Early Pot

Level 1 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ivan Curic checked it over to Matthias De Meulder on the turn of a board reading {q-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

De Meulder bet 25,000 and after studying the board for a time Curic called. The river was the {k-Diamonds} and another check from Curic saw De Meulder mull it over before betting 77,000.

Curic smelled a rat, “You can’t win without betting eh?” he said. It worked thought as Curic reluctantly parted with his cards and the pot was pushed to De Meulder.

De Meulder is another player who has bought in directly to this turbo flight.
