Sinclair Takes from Schuh

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sander van Wesemael raised to 16,000 and Matthias de Meulder three-bet to 45,000. The Dutchman moved all in and de Meulder quickly folded.

Over on the other table, Jack Sinclair and Michal Schuh were involved in a three-bet pot and Sinclair checked the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. Schuh bet 25,000 on the button and was called before both then checked the {K-Clubs} turn and {6-Spades} river. Sinclair flashed {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for trips aces and that won the pot.

Liesner Triples; Busts After

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Petr Liesner
Petr Liesner

Sander van Wesemael raised to 12,500 and Jan Mach three-bet to 31,500. Pete Liesner called all in for 23,500 from the cutoff and van Wesemael called. The flop came {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and van Wesemael checked, then folded to the bet of Mach.

Petr Liesner: {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Jan Mach: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The {4-Spades} turn and {9-Diamonds} river ensured that the kicker played and Liesner tripled.

Soon after, Matthias de Meulder raised to 14,000 and called the shove of Liesner to put the Czech at risk once more.

Petr Liesner: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Matthias de Meulder: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop was of no help yet, but the {Q-Hearts} turn saw de Meulder in the lead. A blank {6-Hearts} river changed nothing whatsoever and Liesner was eliminated.

Down to the Last Two Tables

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ismael Bojang failed to win his last hand against Pierre Neuville and ran out of chips as a result while a big pot was played one table over.

Paul Michaelis was the initial raiser and made it 14,000 to go. Michal Schuh three-bet to 34,500 and Michaelis moved all in with Schuh making the instant call.

Michal Schuh: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Paul Michaelis: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Both players had a straight draw on the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts} flop and Michaelis had a few additional outs in order to improve. However, the {5-Diamonds} turn and {2-Diamonds} river were not among them and Schuh doubled for 234,500.

Filatov Builds Stack Further

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Moritz Dietrich remains the chip leader, however Anatoly Filatov is now hot on his heels after yet another clash with Kacper Pyzara.

From the cutoff, the partypoker team pro from Russia made it 12,000 to go and Pyzara three-bet to 26,000, which Filatov called. On the {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Filatov checked and called a bet of 40,000 by Pyzara before doing so again for 90,000 on the {7-Hearts} turn. The {J-Diamonds} fell on the river and Filatov's bet of 150,000 forced a fold from Pyzara.

Nguyen Can't Lose

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Nguyen just needed to hold on versus Maxi Lehmanski
Nguyen just needed to hold on versus Maxi Lehmanski

We joined the action on a {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop in a hand between Maxi Lehmanski and Van Tien Nguyen. Lehmanski check-raised all-in, facing Nguyen's flop continuation bet. After some consideration, Nguyen made the call, and the cards were on their backs.

Lehmanski had {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the gutshot flush draw combo, while Nguyen's {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} just needed to hold on.

The turn {2-Spades} paired the board, with the river {k-Clubs} pairing Nguyen's hand. Lehmanski wished his table good luck as he stood up to leave the tournament area.

Pyzara Takes on the partypoker Team Pros

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Kacper Pyzara moved all in for far more than the size of the pot with the board showing {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Jan-Peter Jachtmann eventually folded.

Soon after, Pyzara took on fellow partypoker team pro Anatoly Filatov and both players invested 40,000 on the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop. After no action on the {6-Hearts} turn, Pyzara checked the {K-Diamonds} river from the small blind and Filatov bet 225,000 on the button. That would be enough to win the pot without showdown, as Pyzara let go to preserve his big stack.

Over on the other table, Roman Cieslik's grind with a short stack came to an end, and the field was reduced to the last 18 hopefuls. Cieslik had just five big blinds remaining and was pushed all in by Michal Schuh with {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Cieslik had {Q-}{J-} and the Czech completed a straight to win the pot.

Battle Of The Ambassadors

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
"You can only have king jack, right?"
"You can only have king jack, right?"

We joined the action on a {7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts} board in a hand between two partypoker sponsored pros, Anatoly Filatov and Jan-Peter Jachtmann, with roughly 50,000 in the middle.

After Filatov checked, Jachtmann went big, casually chucking in two pink 25,000-value chips. Filatov called, before the {k-Clubs} double-paired the board on the river, and checked over to Jachtmann one more time. Jachtmann piled up a stack of orange 5,000-value chips totally 100,000 and deliberately slid them over the line.

"You can only have king jack, right?" enquired Filatov.

"I can have nothing. Call me and I'll show you," responded Jachtmann, prompting Filatov to make the call.

Jachtmann turned over {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a complete airball. Filatov tabled {j-Clubs}{4-Spades} for jacks full, while scooping the big pot.

Grospellier Busts in Two Hands

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Bertrand Grospellier
Bertrand Grospellier

While Van Tiep Nguyen increased his stack, Julian Thomas went the other direction. Just now, Thomas helped himself back to an above-average stack though when defending his big blind against Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier.

Thomas check-raised the {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop from 12,500 to 36,000 and Grospellier called before the {5-Hearts} turn saw another check-raise by Thomas. Grospellier's second bet was for 33,000 and Thomas check-shoved for 130,000 with the Frenchman calling.

Julian Thomas: {10-Spades}{5-Spades}
Bertrand Grospellier: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The {10-Clubs} on the river improved's Thomas' already existing full house to a better one and Grospellier was left with dust. His last few chips vanished right after with {10-Spades}{8-Spades} against the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} of Van Tiep Nguyen despite picking up an additional flush draw.

Wong Busts to Benoit

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} turn, Jonathan Wong bet 35,000 and Benjamin Benoit was the only caller to see the {8-Hearts} on the river. Wong had 50,000 behind and Benoit bet 75,000 to see the Brit call. Benoit turned over {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a set and Wong mucked {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} before heading to the rail.

Brandau Busts to van Wesemael

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sander van Wesemael raised to 12,000 from the hijack and Michael Brandau moved all in for his last 23,000 from the cutoff. Manig Loeser clicked it up to 50,000 on the button and van der Wesemael moved all in to force out the German.

Michael Brandau: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Sander van Wesemael: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The Dutchman flopped well on {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and the {10-Diamonds} turn and 3d] river were of ho help for Brandau to see the next player run out of chips.
