Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Jacob Powers
Jacob Powers

Action was picked up on the flop with roughly 10,000 in the pot and the board showing 3K9.

Jacob Powers on the button was all in for his stack of 19,300, and the player in the small blind putting him at risk.

Small Blind: 33

Powers opponent flopped bottom set, meaning he would need a not board pairing diamond to stay in the tournament. The 10 on the turn was no help for Powers, but the J on the river gave him the flush, to secure the double up.

Edge Holds On for the Knockout

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Matthew Edge
Matthew Edge

Action was picked up on the flop with the board showing 6610 and roughly 15,000 in the pot.

After the flop a player in the hijack checked to Matt Edge who bet out 3,000. Then a player in the hijack raised all in for his stack of 24,700. After thinking over his decision for over a minute, Edge found the call to put his opponent at risk.

Hijack: AK All in
Matt Edge: QQ

Edge was ahead with his pocket queens but would need to fade the two over cards, and the flush draw of his opponent. But when the board ran out 9 on the turn and 2 on the river, the pocket queens of Edge were still best, to take the pot and eliminate his opponent.
