Mann Stays Alive

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action folded to Joan Bousman in the hijack, and limped in, as did a player on the button. When it folded to the big blind Howard Mann, he raised all in for 7,000. Bousman called, and the button folded, leaving the two players heads up, with Mann at risk.

Howard Mann: AQ All in
Joan Bousman: 43

Mann was ahead with his ace high, and when the board ran out 78882 his ace high was still best and secured the double up.

Kojack Picks Off the Bluff

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action picked up on the river in a hand between Nathan Wasson in the small blind and Christopher Kojack in the big blind.

With over 3,000 in the pot and the board reading 9Q410J, Wasson led out with a bet of 2,400.

With straight and flush possibilities on the board, Kojack thought for a moment before making the call with J9 for two pair, jacks and nines. Wasson tabled A3 for ace high, and the pot was pushed Kojack's way.

Action folded to Andrew Chang in the hijack, and he raised to 1,200. It folded to the big blind David Helpard who made the call.

Helpard check-called bets from Chang for 1,200 after the J9Q flop, 2,800 after the 2 turn, and an all-in bet for 4,900 after the 5 river.

Once Helpard called Chang tabled QJ for top two pair. Helpard showed 97 before tossing his hand in the muck, giving Chang the double up.

Lucas' River Bet Gets Through

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action went three-ways to a flop of 697 in a hand between Eric Lucas in the small blind, Richard Persico in the big blind, and the player in middle position.

Lucas checked, Persico bet 1,000, middle position called and Lucas called as well.

The turn landed the K, Lucas checked, Persico bet 3,500, middle position folded, and Lucas called again.

The river brought the 3, completing any flush draws, and Lucas led out with a hefty bet of 10,000.

Persico frustratingly tossed his cards into the muck, but said "nice hand" to show good sportsmanship as Lucas collected the pot.
