Jesse Lonis opened the button to 15,000 and got called in one spot by David Dongwoo Ko in the small blind.
The A♦K♣10♣ flop landed and action moved to Lonis who continued for 10,000. Ko only sat in the tank for a moment before putting in a check-raise to 32,000. Lonis got a count and put in the chips.
The 3♦ rolled off on the turn and Ko thought over his options but eventually slowed back down and checked. Lonis put out another bet of 35,000 and Ko snap-folded.
Lonis grabbed yet another pot on his way to the chip lead.
Action was opened under the gun to 15,000 by John Morgan before it made it to Michael Jozoff in the cutoff who called and the remaining players folded.
The K♣4♣2♦ flop landed and Morgan slowed down with a check. Jozoff only took a moment before putting out a bet of 17,000. Morgan called.
The K♠ rolled off on the turn and and action checked to Jozoff again who continued for 23,000. Morgan called again and the 10♦ hit the river.
The action quickly checked through and Jozoff tabled 7♦7♣ for just third pair. Morgan showed 5♦5♥ before his cards hit the muck.
Jozoff scooped after getting some thin value from another pocket pair.
Action was opened in middle position to 8,000 by Michael Wang. It folded to the big blind who defended and the two players were off to a flop heads up.
The 8♠3♥7♣ flop landed and action checked to Wang who continued for 15,000. It was back on the big blind who didn't take more than a second before shipping it all in. Wang shrugged and flicked in the chips.

Wang would need some help and the dealer came to the rescue in the form off an 8♥ turn giving Wang a better two pair. The 5♦ river landed and Wang locked up the pot and the knockout.
The field of 150 entries created a prize pool of $727,500, from which the top 20 players will be paid. The top 20 are guaranteed a min-cash of $9,320 and the winner is slated to take home $180,850.
Nadya Magnus raised to 4,500 from late position before Matthew Wantman raised to 15,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Magnus slid out a stack of T-5,000 gray chips. Wantman called for a grand total of 55,000 and the cards were turned up.

The board ran out J♥10♠9♦8♦8♣ and Wantman turned a straight to crack pocket kings for a double.
Day 2 of the $5,300 High Roller at Resorts World Las Vegas at the PokerStars North American Poker Tour Las Vegas kicks off at 12:30 p.m. local time, and Anthony Hu is the chip leader after ten levels of play on Day 1.
The 127-entry tournament saw 55 players qualify for Day 2, with the prize pool currently at $615,950. Late registration is still available until the start of Day 2 so expect this prize pool to grow.
During most of Day 1, Hu was leading the pack or near the top. Dongwoo Ko from Canada and Juan Garcia Reverte from Spain were in second and third place, respectively. Jesse Lonis, the NAPT Super High Roller Champion, and David Stamm, the runner-up from the same tournament, completed the top five, each with a stack of 245,000 chips.

There are still several notable players outside of the top ten, including Lewis Spencer, Mike Jozoff, Ethan "Rampage" Yau, and Masato Yokosawa, who will all be returning for Day 2.
Masato Yokosawa
The players will be returning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday for Day 2 of the tournament. The tournament structure changes the levels from 60 minutes to 40 minutes for Day 2, then back to 60 minutes on Day 3. The objective is to play until a final table of six players is determined and then return on Sunday for final table action, which will be live-streamed on PokerStars YouTube channel.
