Pallampati Makes Huge Call to Double Through Bussieres

Level 24 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

On a flop reading 108J with a pot already containing around 350,000 chip, Sandeep Pallampati checked over to Jonathan Bussieres who thought briefly before jamming to put Pallampati to the test.

Pallampati went deep into the tank, using a total of four time banks before ultimately making the call to put himself at risk and set up a runout.

Sandeep Pallampati: AQ
Jonathan Bussieres: KQ

Bussieres was on a huge semi-bluff and Pallampati had found a way to call it off with just ace high and a gutshot. The 8 turn and 2 river made the double official as Bussieres sends a massive pot in Pallampati's direction.

Girish Reknar
Girish Reknar

Girish Reknar raised to 60,000 from under the gun and got called by Masato Yokosawa on the button and both the blinds before seeing a flop of 9J2.

Both the blinds and Reknar all checked over to Yokosawa who opted to toss out a bet for 150,000. The blinds got out of the way and Reknar entered the tank. After using up two time banks and verifying the bet amount, Reknar eventually decided to check-jam for 325,000 total. Yokosawa made the quick call, setting up a runout with Reknar at risk.

Girish Reknar: 66
Masato Yokosawa: KQ

Reknar was ahead on the flop but had overcards and straight outs to dodge. When the 10 jumped out on the turn, Reknar was suddenly drawing dead headed to the A river and finished in 23rd place for $9,125.
