De La Cruz Wins with No Showdown

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A player in late position raised to 1,800 and found a call only in Antonio De La Cruz from the button before seeing the flop come Q1010.

Both players quickly checked before the dealer burned and turned the 9.

The late position player checked over to De La Cruz who decided the check was no good as he tossed out a bet of 3,000. His opponent called and they both headed to the 9 river.

The late position player checked once more and again, De La Cruz reached for chips and tossed out a single 5,000 chip which got a snap-fold from his opponent as he secured the pot without need for a showdown.

Keshavarzi Flushes Opponent Out the Door

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop reading Q910 with three active players having committed chips preflop, Maz Keshavarzi checked from the big blind before a player in middle position bet 1,000.

The player on the button made the call before watching Keshavarzi count out a check-raise to 4,500.

The player in middle position quickly folded but the button player wasn't so quick to release his hand. After a moment of thought, they eventually decided on an all-in and slid their stack into the middle. Keshavarzi quickly called, putting his opponent at risk and headed to a runout.

Button: A10
Maz Keshavarzi: 45

The 4 turn meant that the button was drawing dead headed to the meaningless 2 river as he stood up to make his way towards the rail.

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Ryne "Pyzza" Teston opened in middle position to 2,200 and was only called by the big blind.

The 942 flop landed and action checked to "Pyzza" who continued the story for 2,000. His opponent called.

The 9 rolled off on the turn and action checked to "Pyzza" again who put out the same bet of 2,000. His opponent sat in the tank for almost two minutes before putting in a check-raise to 9,000. Action was back on "Pyzza" who wasted little time before moving all in having his opponent covered.

This bet did the trick and the big blind folded as "Pyzza" dragged the pot and continues to hold the chip lead.
