Tice Scores Huge Double Through Konnikova

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Landon Tice
Landon Tice

The board read J8976 with the Q10 in front of Landon Tice for a flopped straight.

Maria Konnikova was counting out chips to pay Tice his double-up.

Pete Chen had just walked up to the table and was waiting for the dealer to verify his buy-in ticket. He was kind enough to relay that Konnikova held 106 for the lower turned straight and that's when all the chips went in. Maria was counting out 99,000 for Tice to add to his stack.

On the next hand, Konnikova was all-in again for her last chips and was called by Chen who was sitting two seats to her left.

Maria Konnikova: QQ
Pete Chen: 88

The board ran out without any trouble to Konnikova as she doubled up to get back in the mix.
