Vittorio Maugini Eliminated in 5th Place ($11,000)

Level 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Vittorio Maugini
Vittorio Maugini

Arnaud Enselme opened from the button to 320,000 and Vittorio Maugini, in the small blind, very quickly tossed in three time bank cards and stewed over his decision on what to do with his final 960,000. After 90 seconds went by, he tossed another two time bank cards in and, 30 more seconds later, went all in. James O'Brien got out of the way and Enselme snap-called.

Vittorio Maugini: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Arnaud Enselme: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Enselme was way ahead with pocket queens, much to the dismay of Maugini, who began to gather his things.

The board ran out {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} to eliminate the Italian in 5th place, good enough for an $11,000 score.

With his latest win, Enselme now has over half of the chips in play.

Butuc Doubles Through Enselme

Level 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Action folded to Gheorghe Butuc on the button who moved all in for 735,000. Arnaud Enselme was in the small blind and asked for a count before moving all in for 4,350,000. Vittorio Maugini quickly folded.

Gheorghe Butuc: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Arnaud Enselme: {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

Butuc was at risk but had Enselme dominated. It wouldn't be Butuc's time to bow out as the board ran out {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts} to give Butuc the double up.

Ercan Hasan

Ercan Hasan was forced all in when his 155,000 went to pay the ante. Gheorghe Butuc moved all in from under the gun for 870,000. All other players folded.

Ercan Hasan: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Gheorghe Butuc: {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Hasan had picked up a pocket pair and needed to win the flip to survive. However the flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} to put Hasan way behind of Butuc. The turn of the {j-Hearts} gave Butuc two pair and the river came the {4-Spades} to eliminate Hasan in sixth place for $9,000.

Maugini Doubles Up with Quads, Hasan Left with Scraps

Level 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Vittorio Maugini
Vittorio Maugini

Ercan Hasan shoved all in for 675,000 from under the gun and Vittorio Maugini called for 520,000 from the small blind.

Vittorio Maugini: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Ercan Hasan: {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

Hasan was in deep trouble but found hope on the {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, picking up a flush draw despite Maugini making top set.

All hope was lost on the turn, as the {q-Hearts} came to give the Italian quads.

The {8-Clubs} completed the board and Hasan was left with less than one big blind. Hasan will be all in blind next hand.
