"It was no one-outer"

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Stuart Rutter just arrived at the table of Steven van Zadelhoff and told the story about the double elimination thanks to a one outer when he was asked where all the chips came from. Lauri Varonen had opened for the second hand in a row to 4,500 and van zadelhoff three-bet to 9,200. A short stack moved all in for 27,900 and Varonen folded, van Zadelhoff called.

It was the {A-Spades} {8-Spades} for the Dutchman with the beard and the {Q-Clubs} {9-Clubs} for his opponent. "I don't like this flop, but I am still ahead" van Zadelhoff joked to the dealer when he saw the {6-Spades} {10-Clubs} {J-Clubs} flop. The {9-Diamonds} turn improved the short stack but the {A-Hearts} on the river saw the best hand regain the lead and score the knockout.

"Come on, it wasn't a one outer," the Dutchman joked and raked in the pot.
