Stephen O'Keeffe Eliminated in 7th Place (£5,210)

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Stephen O'Keeffe
Stephen O'Keeffe

Atanas Pavlov raised with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} from the cutoff to 240,000. He was three-bet by Stephen O'Keeffe to 625,000 with {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Pavlov called when it folded to him.

The flop fell {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Pavlov checked to O'Keeffe who then continued with a bet of 575,000. Pavlov jammed all in for effectively 2,800,000, covering O'Keeffe. He was called and they opened up.

O'Keeffe needed a club but the turn was the {7-Spades} and the river the {4-Spades} and Pavlov took the chip lead pot down while O'Keeffe was eliminated in 7th for £5,210.

Smith Rivers Pavlov

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Gareth Smith limped with {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} when it folded to him in the small blind and Atanas Pavlov checked in the big blind with {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

The flop was {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Smith had two overcards, but Pavlov flopped two pair. Smith check-called a bet of 140,000 to see the {q-Diamonds} and now he had top pair.

Smith checked again on the turn and Pavlov bet 400,000. He was called again and the {3-Clubs} fell on the river to counterfeit the two pair that Pavlov had flopped.

Smith checked on the river to then call a bet of 500,000 from Pavlov after using two time bank chips.

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Thomas Lewis
Thomas Lewis

Thomas Lewis sat in the hijack with {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} when it folded to him and he raised all in for 1,500,000. The cutoff and the button got out of the way. Small blind Gareth Smith woke up with {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and he rejammed. The big blind folded and they opened up.

The {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} runout couldn't save Lewis and he was eliminated from the tournament in eighth place, cashing for £4,143.

Von Dobeln Folds the Turn

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Stephen O'Keeffe raised to 255,000 from early position with {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and he was called by big blind Carl Von Dobeln who had {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

The flop was dealt {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Von Dobeln led out with a bet of 250,000. He was raised to 580,000 by O'Keeffe and the call was made by the Swedish player.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} which gave Von Dobeln plenty of extra outs, but he check-folded to a bet of 675,000.

Lewis Loses Half of His Stack to McCague

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Kyle McCague
Kyle McCague

Kyle McCague raised from the button to 300,000 with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. He was three-bet by Thomas Lewis from the small blind with {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. The big blind folded and McCague called the bet.

The flop was dealt {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and both players checked. They did the same on the {k-Diamonds} turn and the {6-Clubs} river. McCague showed his pair of tens and that was enough to win the pot.

Stanciu Getting Ahead of the Field

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Cristian-Gicu Stanciu raised under the gun to 230,000 with pocket queens and he was three-bet by Thomas Lewis to 575,000. All the other got out of the way and when it folded back to Stanciu he called with pocket jacks.

The flop fell {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn was the {5-Hearts} and Stanciu checked again. Lewis stabbed at it with a bet of 350,000 and he was called.

The {q-Spades} landed on the board on the river and Stanciu bet 550,000. That was enough to make Lewis fold and he won the pot with his set of queens without showdown.

Steve Berto Eliminated in 9th Place (£3,112)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Steve Berto
Steve Berto

Thomas Lewis raised from middle position and Steve Berto put his last 12 big blinds in the middle from the cutoff. Atanas Pavlov jammed as well for 13 big blinds and Lewis thought about it for a moment. He eventually let go of his hand.

Atanas Pavlov: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Steve Berto: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} didn't give Berto any direct outs, but the {10-Hearts} did. The river, however, was the {5-Clubs} and Berto was eliminated from the tournament in 9th place. He cashed for £3,112.
