Rogers Snuffs Out Cotton

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Ryan Rogers
Ryan Rogers

Iverson "Cotton" Snuffer got his last 8,000 or so all in preflop and found himself flipping for his tournament life.

Rogers: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Snuffer: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Snuffer needed to improve to stay alive but that proved easier said than done as the board ran out an unhelpful {2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

Sheppard with a Nice Pot

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With the board of {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades}, Joshua Sheppard bet 7,000 into a pot of 18,000 from the hijack. The cutoff tanked before making the call and Sheppard showed the {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

The cutoff mucked but more importantly Sheppard is still in good position before dinner break with 75,000 in chips.

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Players are now on a dinner break and will return to action at 7:30 p.m. local time. Late registration and re-entries will come to a close upon their return. They will then play until the end of Level 15 before bagging and tagging for the night.

Kings for Dehm

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Shortly after the dinner break Scott Dehm moved all in preflop and was met with one caller who had a shorter stack.

Dehm showed {k-}{k-} and his opponent showed {a-}{j-}. The flop put a stranglehold on the hand for Dehm as it came {j-}{k-}{8-}.

The {a-} on the turn provided his opponent with a glimmer of hope but that was quickly put out when a {3-} hit the river confirming his bust out and giving Dehm a nice after dinner boost.
