The Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) Hollywood Casino Columbus began with 588 entries, but today just nine return to battle it out for the title and $191,723 first-place prize.
Leading the pack is Abdul Amer, who is no stranger to poker in Ohio. Last year he topped a 581-entry field to win the $1,100 MSPT Cleveland Poker Open at JACK Cleveland Casino for $118,350.
Others returning to action are World Series of Poker bracelet winners Adam Friedman and Joey Couden and World Poker Tour champ Kevin “1$sickDisea$E” Eyster. Interestingly, Amer is friends with Friedman, who finished third in the aforementioned MSPT Cleveland.

It’ll also be filmed for television, which marks the first time Ohio will have held a nationally televised poker tournament.

Kevin Eyster raised to 100,000 from the cutoff with the and was called by Jeff Hart from the big blind who also held big slick with the .
The flop came . Eyster continued with a 150,000 bet which was called by Hart. The turn was the to pair both players. Eyster checked and Hart followed with a bet of 185,000 which Eyster called.
The river was the to improve each hand. Eyster shoved all in and Hart considered it for a few moments before making the call.
Both players revealed their ace king to a few disappointed groans from the fans and the pot was chopped up.
Madeep Sah limped from the small blind and Spencer Cramer raised to 160,000. Sah limp-raised it to 800,000 and Cramer moved all in for his remaining stack of 1.55M. Sah made the call putting Spencer a risk.
