Carbone Eliminates a Player

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The cutoff raised it to 2,500 and both Anthony Carbone on the button and the big blind made the call. The flop came {9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and the cutoff made a continuation bet of 3,500. Carbone called and the big blind folded.

The turn came {q-Diamonds} and the cutoff bet again 9,200. Carbone again made the call.

The river came the {k-Spades} and the cutoff checked to Carbone who went all in, putting the cutoff at risk for his remaining stack of 30,000 and being eliminated. After a brief tank he ended up making the call showing {a-}{k-}.

Carbone turned over the {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the straight, eliminating the cutoff.

An already large pot was in the middle as the board read {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Seat 2 moved all in and was snap called by Nick Davidson.

Seat 2 showed {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for the straight but was no match for the straight flush that Davidson unveiled with the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. All Seat 2 could do was shake his head in disbelief as he got up and walked away.
