Only Small Pots in Sight

Level 32 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Timofey Kuznetsov won two pots in a row, one of which he claimed the blinds and antes and one which got the job done with a continuation bet on the flop. Mikita Badziakouski earned the next two pots at the expense of Michel "CrossfireX" Dattani and Sebastian "TheodoreRhye" Trisch.

In the second hand, Trisch opened to 132,000 and the chip leader defended the big blind. The {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop went check, check, and Badziakouski bet the {j-Hearts} turn for 173,250 to win the pot uncontested.

Trisch then claimed the next two blinds and antes with open raises.

Badziakouski Wins Bigger Pot Off Kuznetsov

Level 32 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

The action started with a raise to 120,000 by Timofey Kuznetsov in the second position and Mikita Badziakouski filled up from the cutoff. On a flop of {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, Kuznetsov check-called for 130,051 and checked again the {2-Clubs} on the turn. Badziakouski now made it 321,301 to go for Kuznetsov to call.

On the {5-Spades} river, Kuznetsov checked the third street in a row and Badziakouski bet 843,903 into 1,285,204. Kuznetsov gave it some thought and eventually called with {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for the king-high straight but Badziakouski had the best of it with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the king-high flush.

Ronny Kaiser Eliminated in 8th Place ($147,445)

Level 32 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante
Ronny Kaiser
Ronny Kaiser

Michel "CrossfireX" Dattani won the last two hands of the previous level, twice by betting the turn, and boosted his stack to more than two million in chips.

Elio Fox then raised to 132,000 from an early position, which was matched by Ronny Kaiser out of the big blind. The flop fell {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Spades} and Kaiser checked, Fox bet 88,500 and earned another call. That led to the {3-Diamonds} turn and Kaiser checked once more. Fox now bet 390,000 into 531,000 and Kaiser activated his time bank.

After nearly 90 seconds, Kaiser jammed for almost 1.5 million, and now it was up to Fox to utilize the additional time. Some two minutes passed and Fox made the call with the superior stack.

Ronny Kaiser: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Elio Fox: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The {q-Spades} fell on the river to give Fox broadway and Kaiser was gone in 8th place.

"Elio came to play," Sean Winter stated in table chat.

Michael Zhang Eliminated in 9th Place ($110,568)

Michael Zhang
Michael Zhang

Blinds 25,000-50,000

Michael Zhang raised to 110,000 and picked up one caller in Mikita Badziakouski in the hijack. On the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop, Zhang elected to check and Badziakouski then bet 118,661, an amount Zhang matched. On the {2-Clubs} turn, Zhang check-called for another 439,742.

He then also checked the {j-Diamonds} river and Badziakouski bet 1,465,806, which had his opponent covered. That sent Zhang deep into the tank for more than five minutes.

Eventually, Zhang called it off with the {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} and had to settle for 9th place, as Badziakouski had the best of it with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for eights full of jacks.
