Triple Up for Astedt and a Break

Level 37 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

Niklas Astedt called all-in for 77,734 and Seth Davies filled up in the small blind, Elio Fox checked from the big blind. Davies min-bet the {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop to earn a call and they checked it down thereafter on the {3-Diamonds} turn and {10-Diamonds} river.

Astedt tripled with {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} as Davies ({7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}) and Fox ({j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}) only had one pair each.

Davies Maintains Big Lead

Level 37 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

Seth Davies applied pressure with his big lead and pulled above ten million in chips. He once had to let go when Sami Kelopuro three-bet jammed but found very little resistance in most of the other hands.

Davies Catches More Heat Against Astedt

Level 36 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

The button min-raise by Seth Davies was defended by Niklas Astedt out of the big blind. Astedt check-called the {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop for 150,000 and the {9-Clubs} turn for 540,000.

Astedt then also check-called the {k-Clubs} river for 1,584,000 and revealed {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for trips kings. However, Davies' hot run continued as his {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the nut flush dragged in the big pot.

Kelopuro Cannot Bluff Davies

Level 36 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Seth Davies min-raised as the first player to act and was called only by Sami Kelopuro in the big blind. As the flop fell {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Kelopuro check-called for 150,000. The {6-Diamonds} turn brought no action and the {q-Spades} river saw Kelopuro lead for 1,080,000.

Davies called with the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Kelopuro was caught bluffing with just {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Andras Nemeth Eliminated in 5th Place ($302,453)

Andras Nemeth
Andras Nemeth

Sami Kelopuro made it 264,000 to go from the under-the-gun position for Seth Davies to three-bet from one seat over for 612,000. Andras Nemeth then four-bet jammed after using a portion of his time bank and was in for the final 1,982,250. Kelopuro folded and Davies reluctantly called.

Andras Nemeth: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Seth Davies: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Nemeth had gotten it in ahead but it was Davies who prevailed thanks to the {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} board.

Showdown Pot for Kelopuro Against Nemeth

Level 36 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

The action kicked off when Sami Kelopuro raised to 252,000 in the cutoff and Andras Nemeth came along out of the big blind. The flop fell {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for Nemeth to check-call for 319,500 and he did so again for 481,740 on the {q-Spades} turn, albeit very reluctantly.

On the {9-Hearts} river, both checked and Nemeth's {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} was second-best as Kelopuro revealed {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}.
