Middleton Rivers Flush to Chip Up
Level 16
: 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Tom Middleton opened to 11,000 with the A♣J♣ from an early position, Alexander van der Swaluw called with the K♠Q♠ and so did Salvatore Camarda in the small blind with the 6♠6♥. Benjamin Spragg also came along in the big blind with the 7♦ showing.
The 8♣5♣2♠ flop was checked to Middleton and he bet 25,000 into 49,000. Van der Swaluw folded, Camarda called and Spragg folded. The 8♦ turn paired the board and Camarda checked, as did Middleton, who then hit the 7♣ river to make the ace-high flush.
Camarda opted to lead for 16,000 but Middleton raised to 95,000 to force out the italian.
