Ponakovs Keeps Taking From the Rich

Kayhan Mokri raised to 21,000 in middle position and Aleksejs Ponakovs called in the big blind.

The flop came K♠9♣7♦ and Ponakovs led out for 30,000. Mokri then raised all in and Ponakovs called for around 60,000 more.

Mehdi Chaoui raised to 100,000 under the gun and Juan Pardo called for 88,000 in the cutoff.

Chaoui took the lead on the 10♠7♦8♦ flop with top pair, but the 9♦ turn gave Pardo a straight. The river was the 7♥ and Pardo doubled up.

"You're very good in the five-to-seven big blind range," Kayhan Mokri told him.

Aleksejs Ponakovs then moved all in for 35,000 on the button and Alexander Zubov called in the small blind.

Aleksejs Ponakovs moved all in for 41,000 in the cutoff and Kayhan Mokri called in the big blind.

Ponakovs took the lead on the A♠Q♦2♥ flop with a pair of queens, while the Q♥ turn improved him to trips. "You are so lucky. I run so bad," Mokri said before handing over the pot once the 10♣ completed the board.

Ponakovs then moved all in again the next hand and Juan Pardo called for 40,000 in the small blind.

Lin check-called a bet of 12,000 from Ding on the K♦4♠9♠ flop.

Both players checked the 7♣ turn for the 5♦ to fall on the river. Lin led out for 15,000 and Ding reluctantly folded.

The flop came A♥6♦2♣ and Dimov bet 15,000. Both opponents called and the 8♣ turn was checked through.

Nashar led out for 35,000 on the 5♥ river and Ladev raised to 150,000. Dimov quickly folded, while Nashar soon joined him in the muck as Ladev took the pot.

Hassan Nashar raised to 16,000 from early position and Nikita Kuznetsov shoved for 76,000 from the seat next to him. Markkos Ladev called from middle position and Nashar made the call as well.

With Kuznetcov all in, Nashar and Ladev checked the 10♠K♥7♦ flop to see the 6♠ come on the turn. Nashar quickly shoved to put Ladev all in for 320,000. Ladev folded and the cards were revealed.

Nashar was ahead with a set of sevens and just had to fade a queen on the river. The 6♣ fell on the river and Kuznetsov was out of the tournament.
