Leibgorin Spikes Turn to Bust Salewyn

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Cards were on their backs and stacks were in the middle, with [Removed:483] all-in for 170,000 on a flop of Q54 and at risk, after being called by Michel Leibgorin.

[Removed:483]: KK All in
Michel Leibgorin: AQ

Salewyn was ahead with his overpair of kings and looked good for the double-up. When Leibgorin saw Salewyn's cards, he smiled and said "You have kings? It's ok, the ace is coming".

Sure enough, the A rolled off on the turn to put Leibgorin in front with two pair. Causing much amusement at the table, Aliaksandr Yarosh said "He must be cheating" while laughing, and Leibgorin said "I am, but I can't tell you how".

Even Salewyn was chuckling as he gathered his things and left the table, after the 3 river completed the board.

Miscikowski Wins Battle of the Big Stacks

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
David Miscikowski
David Miscikowski

David Miscikowski opened to 30,000 in early position, and was faced with a three-bet to 120,000 by Rayane Mokhtar in the small blind. Action folded back to Miscikowski, who called.

On the AJ9 flop, Mokhtar fired out a bet of 90,000, and Miscikowski called.

The turn brought the 9, and Mokhtar continued to fire, shipping 225,000 into the middle. Miscikowski took a minute or two, before again putting in calling chips.

The 4 river completed the board, and Mokhtar slowed down, checking to his opponent. Miscikowski took a moment to think, before moving all in for around 1,000,000, just covering Mokhtar.

Mokhtar went into the tank, and after about three minutes, released his hand. Miscikowski smiled and flashed the Q prompting Mokhtar to laugh and exclaim "Oh no, not the queen, not the queen!", leading to much amusement for the rest of the table.

Miscikowski is now likely to be the tournament chip leader.

Andrews River Shove Forces a Fold From Tian

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Cherish Andrews
Cherish Andrews

Mengshi Tian opened under the gun to 30,000. Cherish Andrews called in middle position, and Adolfo Vaeza Baque defended from the big blind.

After Baque checked the 7Q10 flop, Tian bet 35,000, which only Andrews called.

Tian fired a second bet of 105,000 on the A turn and Andrews called.

The river came the 2 and Tian bet 225,000. Andrews thought it over for a few moments before shoving for the rest of Tian's 300,000 chips. Tian did some inventory but ultimately settled on a fold, and Andrews dragged in the pot.

Goncalves Bluff Catches Versus Hafner

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Alan Ferraro opened to 20,000 under the gun and received a call from Mathieu Goncalves in middle position. Lukas Hafner was on the button, and he produced a three-bet to 70,000. Only Goncalves called.

On the Q88 flop, Goncalves led out with a bet of 39,000. After some thought, Hafner called.

The K rolled off on the turn, and Goncalves fired out a bet of 65,000. After a period of deliberation, Hafner moved all in for 200,000. Goncalves took a minute or two to think before making the call.

Lukas Hafner: 99 All in
Mathieu Goncalves: KJ

Hafner had turned his third pair nines into a bluff, and needed to spike a nine on the river versus Goncalves' top pair kings, but it didn't come on the 7 river. Hafner departed the tournament area, while Goncalves celebrated taking down the big pot enthusiastically.

Hopkins Doubles via Hardcastle

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action folded to Joshua Hopkins in the small blind, who jammed for 105,000, asking Jack Hardcastle in the big blind if he "had the balls".

Hardcastle chuckled, thought for a moment and made the call, with Hopkins at risk,

Joshua Hopkins: K3 All in
Jack Hardcastle: Q10

Although he was ahead, Hopkins said "Shall I stand up?", to which Hardcastle laughed and replied "Don't or I'll punch you".

Hopkins' double-up was confirmed by the 945A5 runout, his king-kicker to the board pair of fives good enough to take the pot. As he raked in the pot, Hopkins smiled at Hardcastle and said "Cheers love".

Razaei's Cowboys Lassoed by Kurko's Little Slick

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Daniel Rezaei
Daniel Rezaei

Daniel Rezaei raised from under the gun and Metin Yalciner shoved from the next seat for around 50,000. Kimmo Kurko then reshoved from the cutoff for around 140,000, and Rezaei called when it got back to him.

Metin Yalciner: 22 All in
Kimmo Kurko: AQ All in
Daniel Rezaei: KK

Rezaei was in the driving seat to eliminate two players but Kurko paired his ace on the 86A flop to take the lead. A 7 on the turn changed nothing and neither did the 10 river which meant Yalciner was eliminated, and Kurko took both the side & main pots.
