The Big Blind is Not Always Kind to Hallaert

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Three hands in a row, Kenny Hallaert raised to 90,000 and what followed was a mixed bag of results.

He was first called by Harry Lodge in the big blind and that led to the {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, on which Lodge bet 65,000 and Hallaert folded.

One hand later, it was Mathieu Di Meglio who defended his big blind and they headed to the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop. Di Meglio checked and Hallaert bet 75,000 to win the pot.

Up next, Hallaert raised in the hijack to the very same 90,000 and Mehdi Chaoui came along from his big blind. Both checked the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop and Chaoui check-called the {5-Hearts} turn for 110,000. After the {4-Diamonds} river, Chaoui checked again and Hallaert now bet 225,000.

Chaoui used one time bank and check-raised leaving 60,000 behind in order to force out Hallaert.
