Hajiyev Rises Further on the Leaderboard

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ramin Hajiyev was already sporting a far bigger stack which then grew even bigger after he chipped up through Julius Kettunen. He had raised from under the gun to 7,500 and Kettunen was the only one to stick around on the button after the {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs} turn when Hajiyev bet 16,000.

The {8-Hearts} fell on the river and Hajiyev bet another 36,000, earning an instant call by the Finn. Hajiyev tabled the {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for a king-high straight and won the pot, Kettunen flashed his cards to the Azerbaijani before mucking them.

"You missed a big hand, aces versus kings," Hajiyev then mentioned and pointed to his table neighbour Sergej Babincev who was left with fumes.
