Alexandru Papazian Eliminated in 16th Place (€13,600)

Antony Marchetti raised to 160,000 from under the gun to claim the blinds and big blind ante.

One hand later with the big blind ante approaching in the next hand, table short stack Alexandru Papazian raised to 160,000. Wagner Ripper on the button three-bet to 320,000 and also left a small portion of his stack behind as Papazian had done.

It folded back to Papazian, who vaulted out of his chair to see the action on the other table. Two seconds later, he called all in and the cards were on their backs.

"I like it," the WSOP bracelet winner said with a grin on his face. He picked up a lot of equity on the flop and asked for the eight of spades. An eight was what he needed, but when the followed on the turn, the river was too little too late, denying Papazian the pay jump and he had to settle for €13,600.
