Wakil and Navarro Double Up

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Zhi Yi Ning raised to 60,000 in the previous level and Jamil Wakil jammed all in for 180,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Ning quickly called.

Jamil Wakil: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Zhi Yi Ning: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} to give Wakil the lead with a pair of queens. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn left Ning drawing to one out and the {a-Diamonds} on the river was not it.

Next door, Pablo Navarro raised to 200,000, leaving just 30,000 behind. Pedro Garagnani just called and the flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades} hit the felt. The rest of the money went in the middle and Navarro showed {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} which was ahead of Garagnani's {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

The {7-Diamonds} and {4-Diamonds} completed the board and Navarro also held on for a double-up.

Sitbon Denied a Double

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Julien Sitbon raised to 120,000 on the button, leaving one single T-5,000 chip behind. Nikita Kuznetsov then used two time bank extensions before pulling the same trick out of the small blind with a raise to around 370,000.

Chip leader Pedro Garagnani pondered about it for just a few seconds and folded.

Julien Sitbon: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Nikita Kuznetsov: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

"You folded the best hand!" Ren Lin remarked to Garagnani. Both small pocket pairs had to settle for an unlikely split after the board ran out {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

"It's okay, better than a three on the river," Sitbon grinned with a smile on the face.

Jamil Wakil Eliminated in 12th Place (€10,000)

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jamil Wakil
Jamil Wakil

Jamil Wakil shoved all in on the short stack with a little over 300,000 from the cutoff. Kayhan Mokri re-shoved all in from the small blind and the big blind stepped aside.

Jamil Wakil: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}
Kayhan Mokri: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Wakil found himself dominated and the flop of {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} gave Mokri two pair. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn left Wakil drawing dead to the {4-Hearts} on the river.

Julien Sitbon Eliminated in 11th Place (€12,000)

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Julien Sitbon
Julien Sitbon

Julien Sitbon made it 160,000 to go from under the gun and once more left exactly one T-5,000 chip behind. Mauricio Ferreira Pais in the small blind asked for a count to then push all-in and Ren Lin glanced at his cards before folding the {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} face-up.

"Don't do this bro, don't show this hand," Sitbon sighed but with a smirk on the face before he called and exposed the same combo.

Julien Sitbon: {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Mauricio Ferreira Pais: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

"Don't worry bro, you will still win," Lin added. The {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop left Sitbon on thin ice as he needed a queen or running cards to survive. One of them came with the {j-Spades} turn but the {8-Hearts} river was a blank. Sitbon's tournament ended in 11th place for a cash prize of €12,000. He had also collected another three bounties for €20,000 prior to that.

Bruno Volkmann Eliminated in 10th Place (€12,000)

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Bruno Volkman
Bruno Volkman

Kayhan Mokri had previously jammed on the button and got through with it as both Andre Marques and Bruno Volkmann folded thereafter. He just did so again with the far bigger stack and Marques sigh-folded once more.

Volkmann, however, quickly glanced at the tournament info before calling all-in for 610,000 out of the big blind.

Bruno Volkmann: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Kayhan Mokri: {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

"Oh come on, I was ahead," Marques joked.

Mokri took the lead on the {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop while Volkmann had two overcards and a gutshot at his disposal. Nothing changed with the {q-Hearts} turn and the {7-Spades} river reduced the field to the final nine contenders.

"Come on, give me another disappointing 5k," Mokri joked towards the Mystery Bounty desk. And that's exactly what he pulled a few seconds later.

Kuznetsov Fades Elimination

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Nikita Kuznetsov moved all in for 410,000 on the button and Pablo Navarro quickly called from the big blind.

Nikita Kuznetsov: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Pablo Navarro: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} and Kuznetsov still held a dominating lead. The {6-Spades} on the turn provided a sweat with Navarro picking up the lone flush draw but the {k-Diamonds} on the river gave Kuznetsov the double-up.

Navarro Triples Up

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Nikita Kuznetsov opened to 80,000 in early position and was called by Kayhan Mokri on his left. Juan Navarro opened the door by shipping all in for 145,000 from the big blind but both players just opted to call.

The flop came {q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Kuznetsov led out with a bet of 155,000. Mokri quickly folded and the two remaining hands were tabled.

Pablo Navarro: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Nikita Kuznetsov: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The {9-Spades} and {j-Diamonds} runout changed nothing and Navarro earned a full triple-up.

Dinner Break for the Final Nine Players

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Kayhan Mokri raised it up to 80,000 for two hands in a row. He first folded to a three-bet by Mauricio Ferreira Pais and then collected the blinds and big blind ante. That ended the level and sent the last nine players on a scheduled 75-minute dinner break until approximately 9.02 pm local time.
