Greenwood Doubles Plausinaitis, Triples Straight After

In the tail end of the previous level, Sam Greenwood raised to 20,000 from the cutoff before Paulius Plausinaitis three-bet all in for 246,000 from the small blind. Greenwood made the call and a showdown was had.

No miracle seven appeared for Greenwood on the 8♠3♦J♥K♦K♠ runout and Plausinaitis secured the double up.

The very next hand, Greenwood went all in himself for the mere 18,000 chips he had left after the encounter with Plausinaitis. Quan Zhou called from the cutoff, as did Pablo Silva in the big blind.

The two active players checked the 7♠5♥7♥ flop, as well as the 6♠ turn. Silva checked once more on the K♦ river, seeing 25,000 from Zhou thereafter. Silva quickly folded and Zhou tabled K♠J♠ for rivered top pair.

However, Greenwood was sitting on a full house with his K♥K♣ and took the first step in his comeback story.

Delgado Knocks Out Dickerson to Extend Lead

Jules Dickerson was in the big blind and faced with a shove from Vicente Delgado, who covered Dickerson's stack of roughly 600,000. Dickerson made the call and was at risk.

Dickerson was in great shape to double up with the higher pocket-pair but was left drawing to only two outs which Delgado spiked a set on the Q♣7♣4♠ flop. From there Dickerson was unable to find a nine on the 2♥ turn and 6♠ river, resulting in his elimination while Delgado dragged in a pot worth over one million chips.

Chipleader Vicente Delgado raised to 20,000 from under the gun and faced a three-bet to 75,000 from Maher Nouira in the small blind. Delgado put in the extra chips for a call and the two went off to a flop of 6♦2♣A♣.

Nouira made a small bet of 40,000 and Delgado called. On the 2♥ turn, Nouira increased his sizing to 75,000 but again Delgado called.

The 2♦ river put a third deuce on the board and saw Nouira slow down with a check. Delgado then put his opponent all in for 250,000 chips and Nouira went into the tank.

After spending several time bank extensions, he emerged with a call. Delgado showed K♣Q♣ for trip deuces with ace-king as kicker, and Nouira tabled K♥9♥ for the same hand. They chopped the pot, much to the relief of Nouira.

Zhou revealed the 7♦ in his hand before collecting the pot.

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau opened to 22,000 from the hijack and Gregoire Auzoux three-bet to 82,000. Vaskaboinikau used two time banks before putting in a four- bet to 225,000. Auzoux responded with a five-bet shove for 733,000, putting Vaskaboinikau deep into the tank.

"I have ace-queen" Vaskaboinikau told his opponent. "I feel like you're bluffing".

"Then call" replied Auzoux. "I can tell you one thing. It's not a flip"

Vaskaboinikau used several more time banks before eventually folding. Auzoux revealed that he had A♥Q♥ before collecting a huge pot without having to see a flop.

The flop of 8♥7♦3♣ saw Plausinaitis check to Badziakouski, who continued with a bet of 30,000. Plausinaitis then put Badziakouski all-in by putting a stack of T-25,000 chips in the middle and Badziakouski made the call for his stack of 162,000.

The K♥ turn then fell and Vaskaboinikau continued for another 160,000. This time, Auzoux folded, prompting Vaskaboinikau to show his A♣3♦ for a stone cold bluff.
