Patrick Kennedy raised to 13,000 on the button before Stephen Song moved all in for 89,000 in the small blind. Sam Grafton in the big blind asked for a count and gave the decision some thought before mucking, while Kennedy snap-called.
Stephen Song: 9♥9♦
Patrick Kennedy: Q♣Q♥
Song had run into Kennedy's queens and found no help on the 6♣2♠K♦10♦10♥ board as he was sent to the rail shortly before the break.
Niklas Astedt also busted at another table right before break.

On the latest PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway and Connor Richards welcome Matt Hansen as a new co-host of the show. Matt has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes for PokerNews, and now we're putting a microphone in front of him to draw on his deep knowledge of the industry and get some of his hot takes.
That included his thoughts on the WSOP Paradise schedule, a poker player's yacht burning in the Mediterranean, and Ben Mintz returning to BarStool after Dave Portnoy bought back the company.
Chad then chats with this week's guest, Lukas "RobinPoker" Robinson, the new PokerNews Online Poker Ambassador. He talks about playing 1,000 hours of poker in 100 days, playing the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event alongside his father, and how listeners can have a chance at a $10,000 seat in December's World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship at Wynn thanks to a special promotion in conjunction with WPT Global.
Listen to those stories and more on the latest episode of the PokerNews Podcast!
Vahe Martirosyan three-bet to 30,000 from middle position, then called when Atanas Malinov moved all in for 90,000.
Atanas Malinov: A♣Q♦
Vahe Martirosyan: 9♥9♦
Malinov was racing for his tournament life and picked up a straight draw on the K♥2♦J♠ flop to go with his overcards.
The board, though, ran out 8♣5♦ and Martirosyan's nines stayed in front to send Malinov to the rail.

Tom Orpaz bet 20,000 from the button on a flop of 9♠8♠7♦ and Tom Vogelsang called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 6♠ turn before Vogelsang led out for 58,000 on the 8♦ river. Orpaz then moved all in and Vogelsang called for around 250,000 more.
Orpaz turned over 9♦8♥ for a rivered full house and Vogelsang dejectedly showed 10♣7♠ for a straight as he made a quick exit from the tournament.

The Oracle Red Bull Formula One racing team released a promotional video ahead of November’s Las Vegas Grand Prix and it's an action-packed preview of what F1 has to offer when it invades the Strip this fall.
Readers might remember hearing about the race car tearing through the Wynn Las Vegas last November. It appears that was part of the production for Red Bull's epic race through Las Vegas.
Heads-up on a flop of 8♣J♥9♣, Jeremie Zouari bet 35,500 from the button and Casimir Seire called in the hijack.
The turn came the 3♠ and Seire checked over to Zouari, who this time moved the rest of his 86,000 in the middle.
Seire asked for a count and went into the tank for around three minutes before sliding his cards into the muck.

Patrick Kennedy raised to 12,000 and Sam Grafton called from the button before Erik Seidel came along from the big blind.
The flop was 8♣6♥7♣ and action checked to Grafton for a bet of 11,000. Seidel called but Kennedy raised to 35,000, and that was too much for Grafton. Seidel came along on the raise and the turn was J♣.
Seidel checked again on the turn and called when Kennedy bet 35,000. The river was J♥.
Seidel checked once more and went into the tank when Kennedy tossed out 110,000. After a few moments of thought, Seidel gave it up and Kennedy took the pot.
Elsewhere in the room, Ian Bradley has been eliminated.
