Imad Derwiche Eliminated in 4th Place (€38,420 in Cash + €100,000 Mystery Bounty)

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Imad Derwiche
Imad Derwiche

Imad Derwiche moved all-in from under the gun with the far shortest stack and Sergi Reixach went all-in over the top in the cutoff. Belarmino De Souza went into the tank in the small blind and reluctantly folded while he was enduring some chatter by Derwiche.

Once it was on Jean-Noel Thorel in the big blind, the Frenchman called and the following three-way all-in unfolded.

Imad Derwiche: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Sergi Reixach: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

"That's good for me," Derwiche said with a big smile. However, his two live cards found no help on the {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades} board and the Frenchman had to settle for a cash prize of €38,420 and previously earned Mystery Bounty of €100,000.

His bounty prize was a team work between Thorel and Reixach with the latter suggesting the golden hand in the previous draw qualified Thorel to pick the envelope. It was then Reixach who opened it as they sweated a €15,000 prize to be chopped between them.

Steve O'Dwyer Eliminated in 5th Place (€30,430 in Cash + €10,000 Mystery Bounty)

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Jean-Noel Thorel made it 125,000 to go from under the gun and Imad Derwiche went into the tank with a short stack. He used three time banks, mentioned "I am tired guys" and then folded. Sergi Reixach called on the button, Belarmino De Souza did so in the small blind.

Steve O'Dwyer had 175,000 behind in the big blind and inquired if a shove by him would re-open the action, which was not the case as he needed at least 190,000 for a full raise. O'Dwyer then flat-called and jammed the {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop for the last 50,000, earning three calls.

They checked through the {a-Spades} turn and {j-Clubs} river as O'Dwyer tabled the {j-Spades}{4-Spades}. De Souza had {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Reixach exposed the {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Thorel had the best of it with {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. As the Frenchman drew the envelope for the Mystery Bounty, he grabbed the €50,000 prize and earned applause from the remaining opponents and other players in the room.

As for O'Dwyer, his run ended in 5th place for a cash prize of €30,430.

De Souza Chips Up Against Reixach

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Out of the small blind, Sergi Reixach raised to 210,000 and Belarmino De Souza called in the big blind. The Spaniard continued for 120,000 on the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop for De Souza to call and they headed to the {2-Spades} on the turn. Reixach bet another 250,000 and De Souza came along to the {k-Spades} river.

Reixach now opted to check and De Souza bet 625,000 for more than half of his stack to force a snap-fold.

Thorel More than Doubles Through O'Dwyer

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 120,000 from the cutoff and Jean-Noel Thorel made the call on the button. Imad Derwiche considered his options for a while from the small blind but opted to fold while Sergi Reixach decided to defend his big blind.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, Reixach checked, O'Dwyer did the same but Thorel shoved for 630,000. Reixach quickly folded but O'Dwyer called immediately.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Steve O'Dwyer: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Thorel had flopped the higher pair than O'Dwyer had in his hand and his lead didn't change as the {k-Diamonds} on the turn and the {k-Clubs} on the river came to complete the board.

De Souza Doubles Through Reixach

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The action was on Sergi Reixach and he utilised his massive lead by moving all-in from the cutoff. Belarmino De Souza called for the 750,000 he had behind on the button and the blinds got out of the way.

Belarmino De Souza: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Sergi Reixach: {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Following the {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, Reixach needed running cards to deal the final blow but De Souza locked up the double on the {k-Diamonds} turn to make the {10-Diamonds} river a formality.

Reixach Pulls Further Ahead With Aggression

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer was the initial raiser and earned a call by Sergi Reixach out of the blinds. The Spaniard checked the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop for O'Dwyer to bet 60,000 and Reixach's check-raise to 185,000 shut down his opponent.

Imad Derwiche then raised to 150,000 in the cutoff and Reixach pushed all-in from the button to force a fold from Derwiche.

One hand later, Reixach opened to 100,000 on the button for De Souza and Steve O'Dwyer to call in the blinds.

The flop brought {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and the action checked to the Spaniard, who bet 160,000 and forced two folds.

Derwiche Asks for a Two and Gets It

Level 21 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Sergi Reixach raised to 100,000 from under the gun and the action folded to Imad Derwiche in the big blind.

"If it's higher than a six, I will come along," Derwiche said before looking at one of his cards. He nodded and then looked at his other one before making the call.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades}, Derwiche check-called the 65,000 continuation-bet of Reixach.

"Two!" Derwiche asked and the dealer turned over the {2-Diamonds}.

The players laughed while both checking through to the {5-Diamonds} on the river. They both checked again.

Reixach tabled the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for Derwiche to show the {a-Spades} first. He then pretended he had lost his second card but it was clearly in front of him. He quickly turned that over to reveal the {2-Spades} for the full house and the pot.
