Turmezey Pays Off Pingray

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

In a battle button versus big blind, Hugo Pingray and Peter Turmezey headed to the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop on which both invested 75,000 chips. The {k-Clubs} followed and Turmezey bet 120,000 after he exceeded the 30 seconds to act for a few seconds for Pingray to call.

The {3-Hearts} fell on the river and Turmezey opted to check. Pingray now used a time bank, too, and then bet 200,000. With two time bank extensions behind, Turmezey went into the tank and the dealer specifically mentioned that his hand would be dead within the final ten seconds remaining on the final time bank.

Three seconds before that period ran out, Turmezey tossed in a single chip for the call. Pingray tabled the {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and that won the next bigger pot. Turmezey not only parted ways with plenty of chips but now also has no more additional time banks available either.
