Obara Jams Into Kliper

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Jun Obara
Jun Obara

The action was picked up on the {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} turn with some 300,000 in the middle. Arie Kliper checked out of the big blind and Jun Obara in the cutoff made it 205,000 to go. Kliper then check-raised to 490,000 and Obara verified the bet size before he made the call.

Both headed to the {6-Clubs} river on which Kliper opted to check. Obara now moved all-in with the covering stack and Kliper folded.

"Nice bluff," Luigi D'Alterio mentioned in table chat and Obara started smiling. No bluff, I am Japanese, we don't bluff. All Japanese play tight ..." before he raked in the pot with a big grin on the face.

"You're just too good," Talbot reacted after the hand. "Maybe you were right. The French are getting better."
