Greenwood Getting Shorter

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Sam Greenwood raised it up from the cutoff and Timothy Adams flat-called on the button. They went heads-up to a flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Greenwood started with a check. Adams announced a bet of 4,000 and Greenwood called.

The {8-Clubs} paired the board on the turn and Greenwood checked again. Adams went to put out another bet and Greenwood instantly mucked his cards, now dipping to half of a starting stack.

Lefrancois Bombs the River

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Pascal Lefrancois limped in from the small blind and Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 6,000 out of the big blind. Lefrancois called and the dealer spread the flop of {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Both players checked through to the {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {6-Spades} on the river. Lefrancois put together a large bet of 21,000 on the river and Kisacikoglu looked him up. Lefrancois tabled {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for air while Kisacikoglu held {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for two pair.

Aces for Adams

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

It didn't take long for Ben Heath and Timothy Adams to get all of their chips in the middle preflop as Heath only started the hand with around 30,000 chips. It turned out that both players woke up with premium hands.

Ben Heath: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Timothy Adams: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Heath was in a wealth of trouble up against pocket aces and found no help on the runout as he became the second casualty before the first break of the day.

Three Streets from Kisacikoglu

Level 2 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu opened to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Pascal Lefrancois in the big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Lefrancois check-called a bet of 1,500 from Kisacikoglu.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Lefrancois checked again. Kisacikoglu sized up a bet of 7,500 this time and Lefrancois still called. The {k-Hearts} landed on the river and Lefrancois quickly checked. Kisacikoglu burned one of his time banks before flicking in a bet of 25,000. Lefrancois mucked his cards and Kisacikoglu raked in the pot.

Mike Watson

Mike Watson was seen getting up from his seat and the pot was being pushed toward Dimitar Danchev. A completed board of {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} was spread across the felt and Danchev revealed the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for jacks and deuces.

Watson's cards were whisked away into the muck and he headed to the rail in the first level of the day.

Tens Hold for Danchev

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Pascal Lefrancois raised it up from the cutoff and Dimitar Danchev three-bet to 12,000 out of the small blind. The flop fell {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Danchev led out with a bet of 6,500 which Lefrancois called.

The {9-Hearts} on the turn slowed the action as both players checked to the {9-Spades} on the river. Two more checks and Danchev rolled over {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} which proved to be good enough to win the pot.
