Liperis Spikes River to Nearly Triple

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Yiannis Liperis
Yiannis Liperis

Yiannis Liperis opened to 10,000 in the hijack, Lei Wang flatted the button, and Lars Kamphues moved all in for 138,000 in the small blind. The big blind folded to Liperis who got a count and rejammed for 187,000, and Wang called with the covering stack after a brief deliberation.

Lars Kamphues: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Yiannis Liperis: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Lei Wang: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop made a double knockout the likely result as the {4-Diamonds} fell on the turn, but the {q-Hearts} spiked the river to keep Liperis' tournament life alive with a healthy stack, while Kamphues was eliminated.

Flynn Flushes Finck

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Jamie Flynn
Jamie Flynn

A huge pot took place on Table 5 between Jamie Flynn and Jerome Finck.

On a board reading {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} Finck fired out a river bet of 120,000 into a pot of around 425,000. Flynn took his time before putting in the call.

Fincks pressure play backfired as he showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, for ace high. Flynn has the same two cards {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} but his {k-Clubs} made him the second nut flush and he rakes a huge pot.

Patur Flipped Out by Song

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Balakrishna Patur
Balakrishna Patur

Balakrishna Patur was all-in for 47,000 in the big blind and was at risk against Daewoong Song in the small blind.

Balakrishna Patur: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Daewoong Song: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Patur had two overcards but the {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop failed to provide any help. The {q-Hearts} turn changed nothing, and the {2-Diamonds} river confirmed his elimination, while the South Korean Song added to his stack.

Kamphues Has Speranza Dominated Every Which Way

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Lars Kamphues opened to 10,000 from early position and Gianluca Speranza three-bet jammed a stack of 106,000 from the button. Kamphues took about 30 seconds and called.

Gianluca Speranza: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Lars Kamphues: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Speranza was pipped and, to make matters worse, did not have hearts or diamonds working for him. That became apparent when the board ran out {4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for Kamphues to win with a nine-high flush and to mark Speranza's elimination.

James Williams: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Ramzi Karam: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Williams was trailing but picked up a straight draw on the {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop. He then connected with the {a-Spades} turn to take the lead, and improved further on the {a-Hearts} river to earn the double up.

Williams Mistimes his Bluff

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jermone Finck and James Williams were heads up on a board reading {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}. Both players checked to the river which came {6-Diamonds} and Finck bet 12,000.

Williams thought for a few seconds before deciding the raise to 55,000 and Finck called instantly.

Williams sheepishly showed {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} but it was no match for Finck and his flush with {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

This pot sees Williams' stack reduced to around 6 big blinds whilst the Frenchman,Finck, is over the 500,000 mark.

Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Erik Seidel opened to 11,000 in middle position, Martin Jacobson flatted the cutoff, and Nicolas Vayssieres defended the big blind.

The dealer fanned out the {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop and Vayssieres checked to Seidel who continued for 13,000. Jacobson raised to 32,000 and Vayssieres folded, while Seidel called.

The duo checked the {2-Hearts} turn to the {10-Diamonds} river. Seidel moved out a bet of 55,000 for a bit more than half of Jacobson's remaining stack, and the Swede sent his cards into the muck.

Hecklen Takes Down a Star Studded Pot

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Henrik Hecklen
Henrik Hecklen

Erik Seidel, Adrian Mateos and Henrik Hecklen found themselves three ways to a flop of {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

Hecklen checked, as did Seidel and Mateos started with a bet of 8,000. Hecklen called the bet and Seidel got out of the way.

On the {3-Spades} turn, Hecklen checked called Mateos bet of 37,000 swelling the pot to around 110,000.

Both players checked the {8-Spades} river and Hecklen showed {j-Hearts}{q-Spades} to take down the pot with a flopped full house.

These three notable players are also sharing the felt with £1,100 UKIPT Main Event champion, Martin Jacobson, in what is the most decorated table left in the event.
