Terence Plummer opted for a check-raise to 6,500 on the heads-up turn of out of the small blind. Jonas Lauck in the cutoff just flat-called and Plummer then checked the on the river. Lauck eyeballed the stack of his opponent on the other side of the table and then bet 16,000.
The very quick call by Plummer followed and Lauck rolled over the for eights full of aces to drag in the pot.
Thomas Muehloecker had defended the big blind against Santiago Plante and that eventually created a pot worth 22,000 to the river. Muehloecker bet 4,500 with around 28,000 behind and Plante went into a brief tank. He then slid forward his tower of T-5,000 chips and Muehloecker instantly called.
Plante tabled the for aces full and Muehloecker exposed for sevens full of aces. "Nothing you can do there," another player at the table remarked as Muehloecker silently gathered his belongings and left the tournament area.
Plante now holds the biggest stack at the table by some margin ahead of Pierre Calamusa.
