Lim Back in Action; Segebrecht Gone

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Chin Wei Lim
Chin Wei Lim

Chin Wei Lim appeared to have doubled again and was in the process of three-betting all in from the big blind for 127,000 to get a reshove through and further build from there. On the following hand, Claas Segebrecht opened to 12,000 from the cutoff and Lim three-bet all in again. Segebrecht called all in for a bit less.

Claas Segebrecht: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Chin Wei Lim: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Both players found themselves tabling king-queen, and even though Segebrecht's was suited he was the one who wound up needing to fade a flush as the flop came {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The turn {7-Spades} was one-half of the necessary safe cards to come, but the river {2-Clubs} gave Lim the flush, earning him the pot and the knockout, increasing his stack tenfold in the last 15 minutes or so.

Back-to-Back Doubles for Adams

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Timothy Adams was down to just 34,000 but doubled up with pocket eights against the ace-six of Daniel Dvoress. In the next hand, Joris Ruijs opened to 12,000 and Adams shipped all in for 77,000 in the small blind. Ruijs made the call and the cards were tabled.

Timothy Adams: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Joris Ruijs: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board of {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} missed both players which meant Adams' ace-high was good enough for another double up.

Ruijs Doubles Through Mateos

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Joris Ruijs
Joris Ruijs

Adrian Mateos went all in for 53,000 under the gun and action folded around to Joris Ruijs in the big blind, who called off his remaining 25,000.

Joris Ruijs: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Adrian Mateos: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Ruijs had two live cards but would need neither as the flop came {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts} to give him a straight. The turn {6-Diamonds} removed any possibility of counterfeit and the river {j-Diamonds} completed the runout, earning Ruijs the double and leaving Mateos to be the most recent player with under five big blinds worth of chips in their stack.

Mateos Eliminated by Jukovic

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Mustafa Jukovic opened to 12,000 in early position and action folded around to Jans Arends, who was on the button and called. Adrian Mateos was in the big blind and went all in for 28,000, and both players called to take any future action to a side pot.

The flop came {2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Jukovic bet 30,000 and Arends folded, paving the way for hands to be tabled.

Adrian Mateos: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Mustafa Jukovic: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Mateos needed to hit a king or jack to stay alive, but instead the board ran out with a turn {5-Spades} and river {3-Diamonds}, putting a six-high straight on board. Jukovic's sevens meant his straight was one notch higher, eliminating Mateos from the tournament as a result.

Hartmann Gets Big River Value

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ramin Hajiyev was in the small blind and saw action folded to him. He pumped it up to 20,000 and received a call from Pascal Hartmann in the big blind. The two saw a flop of {8-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Hajiyev made a continuation-bet of 16,000. Hartmann called.

The turn came {8-Spades} and Hajiyev checked. Hartmann made a bet of 35,000 and Hajiyev called. The river fell {2-Clubs} and Hajiyev checked again. Hartmann postured for a moment and then slid forward a stack of T5,000 chips, nearly his entire remaining stack. Hajiyev went into the tank, needing to use an extension to do so. Eventually, a call was made.

Hartmann showed {a-Clubs}{4-Spades} for aces up and took down the pot as Hajiyev sent his hand to the muck.

Sam Greenwood - Daniel Dvoress

Peter Turmezey opened to 16,000 from under the gun and was called by Sam Greenwood on the button and George Wolff in the big blind. The flop came {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and the action checked around to the {q-Clubs} on the turn.

Wolff and Turmezey checked again and Greenwood dropped in a bet of 20,000. Both Wolff and Turmezey called to see the {3-Diamonds} on the river. The action checked to Greenwood who bet 60,000 and both of his opponents folded.

Dvoress Doubles Ruijs; Left on Fumes

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Joris Ruijs
Joris Ruijs

Daniel Dvoress opened to 16,000 under the gun and action made its way around to Joris Ruijs, who defended his big blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Spades} and Ruijs checked to Dvoress, who made a continuation-bet of 8,000. Ruijs called.

The turn came {k-Clubs} and Ruijs checked. Dvoress fired a second barrel for 30,000 and Ruijs check-raised all in for an even 100,000. Dvoress thought for a few moments and then called.

Joris Ruijs: {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Daniel Dvoress: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

Dvoress found his open-ended straight and flush draw up against Ruijs' trips and would need to hit one of his straight or flush outs to stay alive. He would not do so, however as the river {10-Hearts} completed the runout to leave him short as Ruijs looks to get back into contention after being crippled as well not long ago.

Schemion Takes Down Chidwick

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ole Schemion and Stephen Chidwick were heads-up in a pot with the board reading {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Schemion led out for 45,000 from under the gun into a pot of around 100,000. Chidwick called in position and the {4-Clubs} completed the board.

Schemion pushed all in and Chidwick went into the tank for a minute before calling off the last of his chips. Schemion flipped over {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for two pair and Chidwick's smaller two pair went into the muck.
