Dvoress Doubles Ruijs; Left on Fumes

Daniel Dvoress opened to 16,000 under the gun and action made its way around to Joris Ruijs, who defended his big blind. The flop came and Ruijs checked to Dvoress, who made a continuation-bet of 8,000. Ruijs called.

The turn came and Ruijs checked. Dvoress fired a second barrel for 30,000 and Ruijs check-raised all in for an even 100,000. Dvoress thought for a few moments and then called.

Dvoress found his open-ended straight and flush draw up against Ruijs' trips and would need to hit one of his straight or flush outs to stay alive. He would not do so, however as the river completed the runout to leave him short as Ruijs looks to get back into contention after being crippled as well not long ago.
