Two of the three starting days of the 2019 PokerStars EPT Open Sochi Main Event are all but completed at the Casino Sochi as Day 1b is in the final stages and attracted a field of around 200 entries already for the RUB133,000 buy-in (~$2,040). Along with the 468 entries on Day 1a, the guaranteed prize pool of RUB70,000,000 has already been surpassed and all those that failed to bag chips on the previous two flights may take another shot.

The second edition of the EPT Open in Sochi and the third one in total after EPT Open Madrid in June 2019 has also already surpassed the 649 entries of the previous year when Vyachesav Bondartsev cut a deal with Evgeniy Leonidov in heads-up to secure himself a payday of RUB12,063,300, Leonidov earned RUB11,258,700 for his efforts.

Similar to the Day 1b schedule, the level duration will be 30 minutes each for the third and final flight and all participants receive 30,000 in chips. Unlimited re-entries are available throughout the day and the late registration closes at the start of Day 2.

All those that come up short in their bid to secure themselves a seat for Day 2 in the Main Event have another highlight to look forward to from October 11th-13th, 2019 as a Platinum Pass for the 2020 PokerStars Players NL Hold'em Championship (PSPC) will be up for grabs in the RUB10,500 "Moneymaker's Road to PSPC". Valued at more than €26,000, the Platinum Pass includes a €22,500 entry fee as well as hotel accommodation, transport, and various expenses for the trip to Barcelona in August 2020.
