Zhechev Leaves Jacobson Short

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Martin Jacobson opened the action with a raise to 1,200 and Ivan Zhechev three-bet to 4,000 from one seat over, which Jacobson called. On a {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop, Jacobson checked and called a bet of 3,000 before the {10-Hearts} turn was checked through.

Jacobson then bet the {5-Hearts} river for 5,000 and Zhechev eventually raised to 25,000, which sent Jacobson deep into the think tank. The clock was called on him and with a few seconds remaining, Jacobson tossed in the chips for the call.

Zhechev tabled the {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Jacobson exposed his {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, thinking he was covered. The raise was only to 25,000 though, which left the Swede with very few chips behind.

While the stack of Zhechev is already impressive, he is trailing Etai Gross on the same table.
