Dan Shak Eliminated in 8th Place (€29,100)

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

Anson Tsang raised to 40,000 and Dan Shak called to see a flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}. Tsang bet 55,000 and Shak raised the pot to 275,000. Tsang announced all in and Shak called for around 420,000.

Dan Shak: {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Anson Tsang: {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}

Both had flopped a flush draw and Tsang had a pair to go along with it. The {Q-Clubs} turn and {Q-Hearts} river failed to improve Shak and he was eliminated in 8th place for €29,100.

Sotiriadis Takes It on the Flop

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Panagiotis Sotiriadis raised to 45,000 and Niko Soininen came along from the button to see a flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}. The Finn checked, allowing Sotiriadis to fire a continuation bet of 65,000 and that ended the hand right there.

In the next hand, shortest stack Martin Kozlov raised the pot and claimed the blinds.

Soininen Picks Up a Pot

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Alex Petersen raised to 40,000 on the button and was called two ways by Anson Tsang in the small blind and Niko Soininen in the big blind. They checked through a flop of {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and the {3-Clubs} on the turn brought a bet of 55,000 by Soininen, which was good enough to claim the pot without showdown.

Tsang raised to 45,000 in the cutoff soon after and Dan Shak three-bet the pot in the small blind to shut down all further resistance.

Kozlov Gives to Dowling; Chops With Cahill

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

In the last hand of the previous level, Martin Kozlov defended the big blind against a button raise by Chris Dowling and they checked the {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop and the {8-Diamonds} turn. On the {K-Clubs} river, Kozlov bet 22,000 and Dowling called.

Kozlov showed the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Dowling claimed the pot with {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

The new level brought a raise to 40,000 by Seamus Cahill in the cutoff and Kozlov shoved for 136,000 on the button, Cahill called.

Martin Kozlov: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Seamus Cahill: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The board came {Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Kozlov missed out on the double, had to settle for a chop instead.

Petersen Closes the Gap

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Anson Tsang battled once more with Chris Dowling and the latter check-called a bet on the {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop. On the {8-Spades} turn, Dowling checked and a bet of 65,000 by Tsang did the trick to force a fold from Dowling.

One hand later, Alexander Petersen raised to 35,000 and Tsang three-bet to 129,000, Petersen called. They checked the {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop and Petersen bet the {2-Hearts} turn for 100,000. Tsang folded and was shown the {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} by Petersen.

Hon Cheong Lee
Hon Cheong Lee

Hon Cheong Lee raised the pot to 56,000 in the hijack and Anson Tsang three-bet the pot to 192,000 on the button. Lee called all in and they turned over the following cards.

Hon Cheong Lee: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Anson Tsang: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop gave Lee some outs for a chop, and the {3-Hearts} turn provided a flush draw on top. However, the {3-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Lee was eliminated in 9th place for €22,115.

Lee More Than Doubles

Hon Cheong Lee

Panagiotis Sotiriadis raised to 35,000 on the button and Hon Cheong Lee three-bet all in for 64,000 in the small blind. Alexander Petersen in the big blind reraised the pot for 227,000 in total and Sotiriadis gave it a long thought before folding.

"I have queens, did you have kings?" Petersen asked Sotiriadis before rolling over his cards, then added "I just wanted to make you feel bad."

Hon Cheong Lee: {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Alexander Petersen: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop gave Lee a ton of outs with the straight and flush draw. While the {J-Clubs} turn blanked, he got there thanks to the {10-Diamonds} on the river.
