Negreanu Calls Out Hand; Ferreira Wins a Big One

Level 5 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Jean Ferreira
Jean Ferreira

On the heads-up turn of {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{K-Clubs}, Daniel Negreanu checked and called a bet of 15,000 by Richard Yong. The duo headed to the {Q-Hearts} river and Negreanu checked again, now facing a bet of 30,000 by Yong.

"Ace jack?" Negreanu asked, to himself and to his opponent, without getting any information. Ultimately he called and Yong rolled over the {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

"I said ace jack!" Negreanu exclaimed and Yong raked in the pot with a smile.

An even bigger pot was brewing over on table three. Sean Winter opened to 5,000 and Jean Ferreira in the small blind three-bet to 21,000. Winter clicked it back to 57,000 and Ferreira called. On the {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop, the action was checked and Ferreira then bet the {J-Hearts} turn for 35,000. Winter min-raised to 70,000 and picked up a call.

The {A-Hearts} on the river killed all further action and they checked it down. Ferreira showed his {J-Spades}{j-Clubs} for jacks full of fives, and Winter mucked his cards with disgust.

"Kings, what else?" he said over to Ferreira on the other side of the table.
