Krisztian Gyorgyi Eliminated in 5th Place (€184,000)

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Krisztian Gyorgyi
Krisztian Gyorgyi

Hand #52: Krisztian Gyorgyi opened to 280,000 with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} first to act. Dumont called with {k-Spades}{10-Spades} and Jiang held {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} on the button. He shoved all in for 3,615,000. Gyorgyi threw in a time extension and took a deep breath. He uttered "call" and Dumont let it go.

The {4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop signified the likely end for Gyorgyi and he clapped his hands in frustration. The {6-Spades} ended things early and the meaningless river was a {j-Clubs}, ending the qualifier's improbable run in 5th place (€184,000).

A visibly emotional Gyorgyi shook hands with a couple of players, then waved to the camera, patted his heart, and headed towards the payouts.

Hands #46-51: Jiang Three-Bets Light

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Hand #46: Nicolas Dumont opened 255,000 with {k-Clubs}{7-Spades} on the button. Honglin Jiang made it 825,000 with {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} in the small blind. Tomas Jozonis thought about it with {10-}{5-} but eventually mucked, and Dumont may have sensed weakness as well and made it 1,750,000. Jiang quickly mucked.

Hand #47: Jozonis completed {q-Spades}{7-Clubs} and David Peters checked with {j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. The {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop favored Jozonis but he checked. Peters checked back. The {3-Hearts} turn prompted a bet of 180,000 and a quick fold from Peters.

Hand #48: Jozonis opened {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Krisztian Gyorgyi defended big blind with {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Both got some connection on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and they saw the {2-Clubs} for free. Gyorgyi pulled his hood over his head and checked. Jozonis checked back after some thought. The {3-Clubs} river was a brick and Gyorgyi checked.

Finally, Jozonis tired of the checking and bet 280,000. That earned him the pot.

Hand #49: Jiang made it 250,000 first to act with {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Gyorgyi shoved all in with {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} in the small blind and took it down.

Hand #50: Jozonis picked up {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and opened for 250,000. No takers.

Hand #51: Dumont raised to 255,000 with {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} on the button. Jozonis defended {6-Spades}{5-Spades}. The {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop missed both players, which meant Jozonis check-folded in short order.

Hands #41-45: Jiang Chips Up Considerably

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Honglin Jiang

Hand #41: Nicolas Dumont raised to 255,000 with the {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} on the button and Tomas Jozonis called out of the big blind with {7-Spades}{5-Spades}. The flop fell {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Jozonis checked, Dumont bet 250,000 and Jozonis folded with the words "you win."

Hand #42: Dumont made it 255,000 to go from the cutoff with the {A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and David Peters called out of the big blind with {K-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. On the {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop, Peters checked his top pair and Dumont continued for 275,000. Peters called and the {9-Spades} fell on the turn, which both players checked.

After the {J-Diamonds} river, both players checked and Peters raked in a vital pot.

Hand #43: Honglin Jiang raised to 250,000 in the cutoff with the {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Jozonis three-bet on the button to 750,000 with the {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. Jiang four-bet all in and Jozonis instantly folded.

Hand #44: Hand details missing due to bustout interview with Patrik Antonius.

Hand #45: Peters raised to 270,000 in the cutoff with the {A-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Jiang called in the big blind with the {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. On the {6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, both players checked and the {J-Clubs} fell on the turn. Jiang checked, and Peters checked behind.

After the {3-Hearts} river, Jiang bet 180,000 and Peters called instantly to drop down further in the counts, while Jiang climbed to almost five million.

Patrik Antonius Eliminated in 6th Place (€139,050)

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Patrik Antonius
Patrik Antonius

Hand #40: Patrik Antonius moved all in from the button for 1,305,000 and Nicolas Dumont called the shove from the small blind.

Patrik Antonius: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Nicolas Dumont: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop gave Antonius some extra outs, as Antonius could now hit a jack on top of the king and queen. The {9-Clubs} paired the board and the river was a harmless {7-Diamonds}, which ended Antonius' bid at a second EPT victory in 6th place.

The Finnish poker legend said his goodbyes as he made his way to the rail to collect €139,050 for his accomplishment.

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Hand #39: Tomas Jozonis opened to 250,000 with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Nicolas Dumont defended big blind with {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. The board read {q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} on the turn after two checks and a the same thing happened to bring a {2-Spades}. Dumont check-folded to 450,000.

Hands #35-38: Peters and Gyorgyi Shove

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Hand #35: Honglin Jiang limped in with {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} in the small blind and Tomas Jozonis checked {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop got checked by both players.

The {6-Spades} on the turn gave Jozonis a pair as well. Jiang checked a second time, Jozonis bet 210,000 and Jiang called. The {Q-Clubs} river went check/check and Jiang took it down.

Hand #36: Jiang raised to 250,000 on the button with {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}, Jozonis called {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} from the small blind and David Peters came in with {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts} in the big blind.

Peters flopped two pair on {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and both he and Jozonis checked to Jiang, who bet 225,000. Jozonis check-raised to 650,000 with ace-high, poor timing as Peters shoved for 1,470,000. Jiang folded, Jozonis sighed and folded as well.

Hand #37: Nicolas Dumont raised to 255,000 in middle position with {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Jozonis picked up {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} on the button and three-bet to 750,000. No action for Jozonis as both blinds and Dumont folded.

Hand #38: Peters raised to 270,000 on the button with {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. Krisztian Gyorgyi found {A-Spades}{J-Spades} in the small blind and moved in for 2,430,000 and Peters quickly folded.
