Garrosi and Krakow Double

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On two neighbouring tables, two players were at risk and both survived in order to double up.

The first was Sebanien Garrosi, who open-shoved for his last 26,000 from early position. The action folded to Nicholas Palma on the button and he shoved for more to get the blinds out of the way.

Sebanien Garrosi: {7-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Nicholas Palma: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board came {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} and the Swiss doubled, leaving Palma short. The latter then shoved one hand later for just over seven big blinds and got through with it.

One table over, Patrick Leonard raised to 4,000 and picked up one caller before Matan Krakow shoved in the big blind. Leonard called and the third player in the hand folded.

Leonard turned over {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, having the {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs} of Krakow dominated. However, the board came {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Krakow improved on the turn to double. Leonard was left with a shaking head, but still holds an above-average stack.
